JOB SUMMARY
- Lead and drive end to end Data Quality Issue Management and Resolution across CIB and downstream functions. Partner with business and functions to identify, risk assess, solution and prioritize remediation of data quality issues impacting the business and functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Awareness and understanding of the Group's and CIB’s business strategy and model as appropriate to data quality and issue management. In particular, the Group’s data strategy and associated programs and processes.
Business
- Identify linkages between data issues arising from the CIB business and the downstream impacts of these data issues. Understand the impact that Data Quality has on the business outcomes in particular ROTE, risk profile and cost targets.
Processes
- Establish a global Issue Management and Resolution process to ensure comprehensive identification, logging, triaging, risk assessment, solutioning and remediation of data quality issues end to end across CIB and supporting functions. Operate this process in a global context, working across global systems and processes, partnering with all impacted stakeholders. Ensure buy-in from all stakeholders to adopt the standard practices required of the process. Establish a mechanism for reporting on progress of issue management, defining and implementing key measurements and metrics. Drive efficiencies in this process by actively seeking feedback from process stakeholders and implementing process improvements. Work with stakeholders to ensure tooling to support the process is fit for purpose and drives process efficiency.
People & Talent
- Lead through example by building appropriate culture and values. Set the appropriate tone and expectations from stakeholders team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners. Ensure adequate training is provided to stakeholders where prevailing issue management processes and tooling are required to be used.
Risk Management
- Apply group standard risk assessment frameworks and methodologies to accurately risk assess data quality issues arising from the issue management processes. Build in a dynamic assessment process to account for new information relating to issues. Ensure risk is escalated appropriately and accurately to the relevant forums not limited to Non-Financial Risk Committees.
Governance
- Provide ongoing oversight and assurance of the issues management processes, leveraging existing governance structures to report issues and breaches of process.

- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in data management, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of Proven experience within the banking or financial services industry.
- Experience in data quality management
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements in banking.
