What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in marine biology, marine science, ecology, environmental science, or related disciple, with min. 10 years of relevant experience in the marine and coastal related projects. Prior experience in consultancy would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of the marine planning system, tropical coastal and marine ecosystem in particular mangroves, seagrass, corals and other coastal flora and fauna, biodiversity, conservation, biodiversity strategies, nature-based solutions, etc, with strong emphasis in Singapore. Experience in managing and leading marine related projects would be advantageous.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to work with external stakeholders (ie. clients, contractors, government agencies, NGOs etc)
• Understanding of safety protocol for safety dive works with at least 100 scientific logged dives and proven skills and experience in conducting underwater marine habitat survey are preferred.
• Experience in terrestrial ecosystem survey, water quality, and oceanographic instrumentation would be advantageous.
• Have the fluency in English, experience in ecological field sampling method, scientific and technical writing, and statistical analysis of data using statistical program / tools. Knowledge in one or more Asian languages and proficiency in ArcGIS would be an added advantage.

What will you do?

In this position, you will join our Buildings business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of projects. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

• Engage in sustainability projects, building physics studies and perform relevant research to proactively propose solutions to clients in achieving the desired sustainability rating or project target.
• Assist with the project process for Building sustainability Assessment tools (such as Green Mark, LEED, WELL, GBI, etc.), identifying strategies to reduce buildings’ environmental impact and advisory projects, and providing strategies to help with client’s Net Zero carbon roadmap or decarbonisation targets.
• Coordinate with the project team, clients, contractors, and suppliers on matters related to ESD and green rating assessment tools including (but not limiting to) data compilation, calculation, verification, and green rating tool submission.
• Develop clear understanding on such as ETTV/OTTV, energy modelling, and simulations on CFD, daylight and glare, solar, etc.
• To learn and expand understanding on decarbonisation & sustainability strategies as well as industry trends, with thorough understanding on the reasoning behind the sustainability tools and calculations. To also develop knowledge of sustainability related concepts & Net Zero practices in other disciplines (i.e., electrical, mechanical, structural, environmental).

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• An Engineering or Building Science Diploma/Degree.
• Sustainability accreditation like GMP, GM AAP, LEED AP, WELL Certified, with understanding of BCA Green Mark, LEED, GBI, Greenship, and other green rating system
• Possess drawing & 3D modelling skills using AutoCAD, Google Sketchup/Revit; model generation in IES (Integrated Environmental Solutions) software and ECOTECT Analysis software required
• Knowledge of Singapore green building construction practices, and understanding of building practice, design, and systems (particularly in HVAC systems and other M&E disciplines)
• Ability to operate daylight and shading simulation models, run energy and wind modelling will be advantageous

Operational:

• Providing System Assurance (RAMS) services on SYSTRA railway projects which may include preparation, review and assessment of RAMS documentation,
• Participate / lead projects’ delivery including managing the client’s relationship and attending meetings with and other stakeholders on RAMS matters,
