As a research assistant in RA, you will join a team of multidisciplinary researchers and data scientists, and work with academics and partners in the social sector. You will support researchers by:

• Assisting in project management of various research studies and research processes
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Participating in planning of research related events
• Developing digital material (e.g., infographics) to support research communications
• Assisting in fieldwork and/or analysis of research studies

Requirements:

• Singaporean
• Degree
• Strong project and event management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with a fast-paced team environment and multitasking
• Interest in social policy and research
• Familiar with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator)
• Familiarity with social research methods (qualitative and/or quantitative) would be a strong advantage

Job Description:

1. Managing Trade documentation and operations for Ferrous business of the Company

2. Handle Import & Export documentations (BL / Packing List / Invoices / COO etc.)

3. Process and submit import L/C application to the bank, review export L/C and request amendments if any.

4. Coordinate with suppliers and/or their agent for documentation & shipping requirement.

5. Check shipment status and inform sales / customer of the status timely.

6. Check import shipping documents and ensure it complies with the contract.

7. Prepare export documents and ensure that it strictly complies with the letter of credit and/or customer’s requirement.

8. Monitor payment from customer against L/C or terms whichever applicable

9. Constantly co-ordinate with global teams to ensure timely delivery of the commodity

10. Gain in depth understanding of the current and future needs of clients and develop long term plans to realize the potential

11. Work with Senior Management to determine the effective direction and process for growing revenue and profits

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are listed as, but not limited to the following:

• To assist the Outlet Manager in the day-to-day operations.
• To achieve team targets, ensure colleagues’ engagement and guests’ satisfaction.
• Assist the Outlet Manager in implementing business plans.
• To ensure efficient and effective F&B operation of the outlet
• Involve in staff control and handling people issues.
• Perform store-level support functions including customer service, maintenance, repair, cleaning, re- stocking scheduling, day-to-day operations, cashiering, loss prevention and back-office support.
• To assist in F&B beverage promotions
• Monitor and assist Outlet Manager on food and beverage menu update.
• Provide training; improve colleagues’ knowledge on food, beverage, and service.
• Ensure that quality standards are met, and service distinctiveness is practiced.
• Promote work environment where employees feel valued, involved, and appreciated.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and hotel operational policies, guidelines, and procedure.
• Participate in meetings on financial, operational, and service.
• Prepare annual outlet’s budget and update monthly forecast with Outlet Manager or F&B Operations Manager
• Ensure revenue is maximized and labor costs and expenses are in control.
• Monitor volume of business and related labor requirement forecast and control.
• Ensure the front and back areas meet standard for cleanliness, proper set up, sufficient supplies and equipment (HACCP)
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and provide feedback to culinary team.
• Solicit and review customer and group critics on quality and service/product provided.
• Ensure colleagues are effective and well trained and deviation from service procedure is corrected through on the job training.
• Ensure that established control procedures, liquors’ law and regulations are followed.
• To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management.
