Overview

The Science of Learning in Education Centre (SoLEC) is a young research center with a vision is to become an international leader in Science of Learning in Education research. • Take charge of maintenance of regulatory reporting database and regulatory data mapping and recurring/ad hoc adjustment;
• In charge of regulatory or financial change impact analysis and simulation or changes in business activities, raise system change request if required, and perform UAT to ensure MAS requirement is adhered to;
• Take charge of change management projects or ad hoc topics in organization, systems, accounting changes or continuous improvements e.g. streamlining, automation etc.;

Job Responsibilities:

• Accounting: Profit and Loss Management. Manage budget controls including payment of expenses and taxes, etc. Undertake the preparation of financial statements, corporation tax, VAT and other tax returns
• Reporting to Authorities: Submitting periodical reports to authorities including Notice 610. Submission of Statistics and Returns. Liaison with MAS and Accounting Firms regarding bank accounting policies and guidelines.

Supporting duties:

• Risk and Operation Management: Assisting the Middle Office Manager to manage credit, market and liquidity risk from the Middle Office’s standpoint. Check daily operation. Reconciliation of checking the account balance. Manage reports to the Head Office, MAS and Japanese regulatory agencies, etc.
