The lab officer?s responsibilities include operation of high-power lasers for cleaning related experiments, metal and composite sample preparation, characterization, measurement, and mechanical testing. The lab officer also supports group?s research activities through procurement, design of experiments, equipment scheduling, risks identification and assessment to ensure efficient and safe operation of our labs. · Perform high-power laser material processing using robotics, CNC and hand-held systems on-site of ARTC and occasional visit to customer sites.
