The research fellow will be involved in experiments that will pinpoint novel antiviral inhibitors, structural characterization on the inhibitor/target interaction and other mechanistic studies using biophysical and biochemical approaches.

• Protein production and purification using affinity chromatography and AKTA FPLC system.
• Perform biophysical studies including BLI, ITC, etc. to study protein ligand interaction.
• Conduct structural studies on proteins using techniques such as EM, X-ray or NMR.

Job Requirements

• PhD in biophysics.

The Office of Patient Engagement (OPEN) brings patient and public voices into medical research and education in LKCMedicine. OPEN works with researchers and educators to integrate patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) into their work, connecting them to patients and the community.

OPEN is seeking a motivated Research Fellow / Research Associate to play a key role in the development of PPIE programmes in the School, which will build PPIE capacity in OPEN and the LKCMedicine community.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to design, data collection, analysis and interpretation of quantitative, qualitative and co-design studies
• Project management of program of work, ensuring study deliverables, reports and publications are completed punctually according to study and grant timelines
• Work effectively with other research and education teams to grow patient-public involvement and engagement (PPIE) and design patient engagement activities in LKCMedicine
• Develop curriculum materials for PPIE capability building programmes
