We are looking for team members who will develop cutting-edge AI/machine learning methods and pipelines to integrate and interrogate gene expression and regulatory profiles of >10 million cells from thousands of donors. Role responsibilities

• To keep abreast of the current state-of-the-art localization algorithms, with specific focus on LiDAR and Visual-Inertial Odometry.
• To study and assist with development variety of algorithms related to localization and mapping e.g., based on EKF and other filtering techniques, and to be able to implement the odometry system for autonomous ground vehicles with high computation efficiency.
• Carrying out tests for different methods and coming up with detailed summary of evaluation and figuring out problems and coming up with ideas to solve problems.

The Experimental Marine Ecology Laboratory (EMEL) within the Department of Biological Sciences at the National University of Singapore is seeking to appoint two Research Assistants to work on a major new project “Shore Protection with Integrated Nature-based Solutions—Eco (SPINS-Eco)”. This interdisciplinary research aims to determine the optimal conditions for mangrove, seagrass, coral, and macroalgal establishment and growth within hybrid coastal protection systems in Singapore.

• Assist in designing and executing protocols to quantify biophysical conditions of both modified and natural tropical coastal habitats
• Carry out intertidal and subtidal biodiversity surveys

Qualifications

The Postdoctoral Associate is in the T4 project for the five-year M3S program in SMART. The SMART team seeks to advance the frontier of AI research, apply it to society and cities, and demonstrate the concrete social impacts of the AI algorithms with broad public acceptance in Singapore.

Specifically, the SMART-T4 project seeks to integrate the state-of-the-art AI and the classical dynamic behavioral models to maximize the growth of human capital.
