The Research Assistant (exercise science) is expected to:

• Work with the clinical and research teams to manage the day-to-day activities of the various services including their development, delivery, and evaluation.
• Perform routine clinical assessments according to Standard Operating Procedures in clinical practice and ongoing research studies.
• Interpret participant tests and procedures, including physiological measurements, such as VO2max, anthropometric measurements, as well as prescribe aerobic and resistance exercises based on current clinical guidelines.
• Perform recruitment of clinical service participants for research studies, and scheduling for study visits.
• Support the research and clinical teams with other activities when required.
• Maintain clinical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, data records, equipment maintenance.

The Digital Health Accelerator (DHA) is led by A*STAR, Ministry of Health (MOH) Singapore, SingHealth, National Healthcare Group (NHG), and National University Health System (NUHS). This position is connected to a research project titled, “Relocation, Social Networks and Housing Aspirations in Ageing Public Housing”. The research focuses on homeowners’ decision making towards housing relocation. The research team will primarily use ethnographic and interview methods in the research, combining these with a small-scale survey, GPS tracking and GIS visualisations for analyses.

The RA will provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator for large grant management and liaise with the project team members or external parties on such matters. There will be opportunities to be involved in empirical research and/or data analyses that are central to the project.
