Job Responsibilities:

• Take and carry out instructions from the Superintending Officer
• Supervise and ensure the instructions from the Superintending Officer

Job Requirements:

• Minimally a Bachelor degree in civil engineering
• The candidate must be a registered Resident Technical Officer with BCA.
• Must have own transportation & able to work tuas and change reclamation projects
• At least three (3) years site supervisory experience in reclamation related projects.
• A minimum of five (5) years of marine related projects or other related working experience may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Must be literate in English and have adequate knowledge to use computer, reply to emails, use computer software, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel etc.

Job Description:

• To assist Safety Manager on all safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters, to ensure the Project complies with its statutory obligations, safety requirements, and aerodrome safety standards.

Position Overview

As Research Associate, you will design and implement high-quality, sustainable software to drive research in computational social science and humanities. You will collaborate with CSSH management, faculty and external partners to translate research priorities into software solutions, including data analysis, model implementation, and tool development. Job Description

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS), invites applications for the position of Research Assistant/Associate. The successful applicant is expected to commence duties at NUS in January 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.

This position is connected to a research project titled, “Relocation, Social Networks and Housing Aspirations in Ageing Public Housing”. The research focuses on homeowners’ decision making towards housing relocation. The research team will primarily use ethnographic and interview methods in the research, combining these with a small-scale survey, GPS tracking and GIS visualisations for analyses.

The project team consists of Principal Investigator (PI) Professor Elaine Ho (Department of Geography), Co-PI Associate Professor Vincent Chua (Department of Sociology and Anthropology) and Collaborator A/P Feng Chen-Chieh (Department of Geography).

Scope and responsibilities

The RA will provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator for large grant management and liaise with the project team members or external parties on such matters. There will be opportunities to be involved in empirical research and/or data analyses that are central to the project.

Qualifications

Applicants are expected to hold at least a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or an equivalent honours degree, or a Master’s degree in the Social Sciences.
