Scope of Works:

• Main Duty - Customer Service Duty (mindset has to meet the realist challenges and demands of a Primary School setting)
• To answer phone calls, manage visitors, takes messages, responds to enquiries and provide general useful information (in a very dynamic environment where calls are volumous)
• Able to use school implemented IT system for administrative purposes.
• To handle daily varied demands and queries from parents / students / vendors / staff etc
• To call pupils absentees and to check with parents on their child’s status every morning.
• To call pupils to convey messages during ad-hoc / special events
• To render first level assistance to walk-in pupils’ needs including sick & injured pupils. To escalate case to other colleagues in the office immediately if it is beyond superficial cases.
• To handle / support situation when pupils’ vomit, soiled their clothes.

General Duties

• To assist in canteen matters, utility, FAS application, arrears fee, bus booking, etc
• To help update the school activity notice board in the office (data accuracy is important)
• To maintain the forms cabinet in the office. All forms must be current and to be replenished constantly.
• To assist in general typing duties.
• To assist in Stores supplies management during school holidays
• To support any other general admin duties as and when required

Deployment :

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7.30am to 3.45pm, inclusive of 45mins lunch break
• Fridays: 7.30am to 3.15pm, inclusive of 45mins lunch break

Scope of Works:

• Assist Nutrition & Food Science teachers in food preparation, storage of food and general kitchen maintenance including mopping of floors for all classes and stock check.
• Assist in collation of food orders and liaise with the suppliers e.g., faxing or orders made by teachers.
• Assist in the checking of food delivery, proportioning of ingredients for cooking lessons and stock of food supply.
• Assist teachers during cooking lessons and clean up after lessons.
• Maintain kitchen safety and equipment.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of every room in the department
• To do general cleaning e.g., washing of aprons, kitchen towels, etc. and maintenance of kitchen and NFS Hub including mopping of kitchen floors regularly.
• To do stocktake, thorough cleaning of food labs utensils, equipment, and cabinets during holiday periods

Scope of Works:

1. Oversee day-to-day running of the school’s science laboratories and facilities
2. Station and move around the Science Lab during Science lab lessons to provide assistance to students.
3. Work closely with respective level subject reps and teachers to ensure that the resources for all hands-on activities are prepared prior to conduct of lessons.
4. Prepare all necessary equipment and materials needed by Science teachers to carry out hands-on activities, experiments and demonstrations. (refer to Science Activity Worksheets provided by respective Science Level reps)
5. Maintain laboratory equipment, apparatus, materials and specimens in good working condition
6. Report all faulty machines and equipment immediately
7. Keep a stock book and breakage record and indicate to HOD Science for necessary replacement
8. Prepare an inventory of stocks annually and inform HOD Science to make the necessary purchase.
9. Maintain a usage record
10. Maintain a safe and tidy lab environment
11. Devise alternative hands-on activities in replacement to the ones found in the activity book
12. Provide care to the butterflies in the creature watch area i.e. obtaining fresh cuttings from the garden to feed them and clearing the enclosure of their waste.
13. Provide care to the chicks in the creature watch area
14. Management of the desk copies for Science teachers
15. Prepare the materials requested by teachers to carry out ad-hoc hands-on activities.
16. Provide support to CCAs such as E2K and Green Club
17. Prepare and distribute Teaching & Learning resources e.g. deskcopies etc. to Science teachers at the beginning of the school year and collect the materials from teachers at the end of the year.
18. Safe storage, usage & proper records of chemicals used in the lab.
19. Preferably the lab assistant is certified in First Aid / CPR / AED.
