· To be accountable for delivering sales volume to meet targeted sales objectives.

· To be responsible for the planning and implementation of our new product’s launching activities

· To liaise and negotiate with local market personnel & buyers and suppliers directly in India for products procurement.

· Should have knowledge about the geographical and seasonal availability of products like spices, grains for procuring at right time and should able to negotiate with the suppliers for best prices.

· Should coordinate with the overseas team in preparing spice powders (Masala powders) to suggest the flavours and quantity which are required by customers in the local market.

· To build and strengthen the relationships with buyers, retails personnel and relevant parties to ensure smooth operations of business.

· To promote and market the products to the local buyers, to market new products from overseas especially from India to local market.

· To be ready to travel overseas to procure products, should possess local market product knowledge especially about Indian products.

· Should liaise with import and export companies to for product procurement.

· To lead, supervise and manage our merchandising team to ensure the effectiveness of works

· Developing a solid and trusting relationship between major key clients and company

· Make product appeal to the target market

· Anticipating key account changes and improvements

· Managing communications between key clients and internal teams

· Working with sales team, creative, advertising, logistics and team members from other departments to ensure the highest quality of products are being procured and sold.

To resolve any inquiries/issues/complaints arising from the outlets and customers.

Job Description – Sales Executive (Offline Channel)

Athena Partners facilitiates emerging Consumer Brands to enter the Singapore Market. In addition to the online stores in all marketplaces like Amazon, Lazada, Shopee, Athena boasts of having 100+ retail stores in and around Singapore that carry the products.

Athena is sourcing for a dynamic and enthusiastic Sales Executive to maintain and grow our offline sales by working closely with partner retail stores.

Athena entrusts this potential Sales Exectuive to enhance its revenue month by month.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Regularly visit existing partner stores as per the visit plan provided by

the Sales Manager

2. Engage with the person in-charge at the partner store and:

a. Ensure best visibility for our products in the store

b. Help display the Company Marketing Material - posters, wobblers, Shelf strips in respective stores

c. Count the current inventory of our products at the store

d. Follow up for payment and ensure timely cash collection

3. Source and Sign-up new stores based on the guidelines provided by

the Company. Conduct market research and analysis to identify

potential prospects, conduct outreach to drive sales.

4. Nurture and develop relationships with owner and staff at the retail

store

5. Engage with the retail partners and monitor customer feedback,

reviews and ratings to identify areas of improvement and implement

strategies for enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.

6. Meet and/or exceed allocated monthly sales quota on an ongoing

basis

7. Be creative and suggest Potential Measures for Cost Cutting

8. Provide daily reports, feedback, dashboard to the Sales Manager

9. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager

Qualifications and Experience

1. At least 2 years of experience field sales, preferably in FMCG industry

2. Have existing relationships with retail stores in Singapore

3. Good track record in meeting sales quota and cash collection

4. Able to communicate in English and/or Tamil

5. Basic IT skills like MS Office (Word and Excel) and email

6. Must have authorization to legally work in Singapore

Compensation and Benefits

About the role:

We are seeking a driven, customer-centric, innovative, and results-oriented Sales Manager to focus on the Japanese market. You will be instrumental in establishing and expanding our market presence. This role involves creating predictable sales growth and helping us reach our goals through building and converting our pipeline of customers in Japan. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing the entire sales funnel from qualification to closing in B2B/enterprise sales.

What success looks like in this role:

• We consistently meet or exceed the company’s quarterly and annual sales goals within the Japanese market through your ambitious approach in Sales.

• A consistent and growing stream of clients in Japan opting for paid trials and subsequently becoming customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan tailored to the Japanese market to expand our customer base and solidify our market presence.
• Lead end-to-end sales processes, from lead generation to closing SaaS contracts with senior executives in Japanese B2B companies.
• Proactively hunt for new customers and nurture leads within Japan, leveraging your personal network, proactive lead generation efforts, and market insights.
• Drive pipeline growth by identifying and engaging potential clients in Japan, as well as forecasting sales targets.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine sales assets and product offerings to suit the Japanese market.
• Work closely with Customer Success teams to ensure a smooth handover of accounts after closing, facilitating a seamless transition for trial management and ongoing customer support.
• Provide regular updates on sales metrics, pipeline status, challenges, and support needs, while also offering insights for product improvements specific to the Japanese market.

To thrive in this role, you must have:

• Extensive sales experience with a consistent record of exceeding quotas.
• Proven career in commercial or sales roles within the logistics & shipping industry, or related sectors such as ocean freight or maritime space, specifically within the Japanese market.
• Preferably experienced in B2B SaaS sales.
• Strong ability to create and implement sales plans in a fast-paced environment, with specific experience in the Japanese market.
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example and dive into the details to achieve goals.
• Proven ability to pitch to senior executives and navigate complex sales cycles, with an understanding of Japanese business culture and practices.
• Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills, with a knack for closing deals effectively in Japan.
• Native-level proficiency in Japanese and fluency in English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
• In-depth knowledge of Japanese business etiquette and cultural norms to effectively engage with local clients.
• Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of the sales process from end to end, capable of working autonomously and driving results without constant oversight.
• Comfortable immersing themselves in the product, troubleshooting issues independently, and involving leadership only in case of bottlenecks or critical issues.
