Job Purpose

The Sales Engineer manages existing customers and develop new customers. He/She fosters good customer relationship, understands the customer's business needs and look for business opportunity for revenue growth and customer retention. He/She provides pre-sales technical assistance and after-sales support to customers.

Principle Accountabilities

1. Manage and attend to specific customers to achieve company’s sales target.
2. Account management for assigned customers.
3. To support and meet sales department objectives and business goals.
4. Attend to all customers’ enquiries.
5. Provide sales forecast and plan for production capacity.
6. Work closely with our overseas counterparts for various customers’ development activities.
7. Assist in implementing and planning for developing of new customers.
8. Provide short and long term analysis on market demand.
9. Assist in preparing market analysis through data collection for management presentation.
10. Any other ad-hoc duties / projects as assigned by Manager

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering discipline
• Min. 3 years of sales experience with proven track record of success as a local or regional sales
• Knowledge of semiconductor tools and processes a must
• Knowledge of semiconductor market trends and customer needs advantageous
• Experienced with MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Experienced with sales forecasting tools, and sales pipeline management advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Provide consultation, solutions and product knowledge to support sales team
• Identify customer business requirement/technical requirement and generate sales opportunity with the proper solution.
• Design right solutions to achieve customer business outcome and maximize customer investment and satisfaction.
• Present the solution to customer and prepare the technical offer and its cost.
• Keep updated with market trend to address customer business/technical requirement and find out right new products/services to enhance existing focus solutions.
• Work closely with focus technology/business partners, building and growing business relationship.
• Handover ordered projects to postsales team.
• Retain and upsell our services to customers.

Requirements:

• SME level knowledge is essential. (Minimum CCIE)
• Min 5 yrs of IT experience in Network & Data Centre solutions. 3. Skills in one or more of the following areas a plus: Cisco Data center technologies, Network security (Firewall, VPN, etc.), Cisco ISE, Cisco WLAN
• Strong business acumen with strong interests in keeping up-to-date with current technologies.
• Must have experience working in a customer-facing role.
• Good verbal and written communication and presentation, negotiation skills.
• Strong consultative skill set to include communications with varying levels of customer personnel as well as the ability to identify and help close new opportunities within existing clients

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote LTPAs, products, or services.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitors.
• Plan and execute marketing and product campaigns across various channels.
