The Duty Manager manages the daily operations of the front office to ensure the efficient functioning of the team in accordance with the department's operating procedures and service standards. He/She develops operations plans, monitors room inventory and collaborates with other departments on special guest arrangements. He/She also manages personalised reception services for VIP guests, implements loyalty programmes and identifies and resolves deviations and irregularities in service operations.

Job Summary

- Assists the Director of Rooms in directing and supervising the activities of the Front Desk, Concierge, Bell Services, Telephone Department and Transport Pool.

- Responsible for welcoming guests and groups to the hotel, attending to guests’ queries, complaints and requests in the Lobby Area.

The Job:

• Establishing and setting robust sourcing strategies and KPI’s, with clear communication to the functional procurement team as well as towards the regional operational leadership
• The nature of the role requires deep understanding of tech industry market dynamics, schedule and volume synergies, financial drivers, value of intelligence as well negotiation tactics, decision making and people management
• Continuously promotes to improve cost, quality, schedule flexibility and risk profiles
• Collaborate and ensure smooth communication with cross- functional teams, including engineering, finance, manufacturing, and quality
• Work with engineering teams on New Product Introduction and ensure that sufficient quantities of product are available for new launches to our customers
• Identify and lead various supply chain initiatives within the team and cross functionally

Qualifications

• Min Bachelor’s degree or equivalent discipline. Master’s degree seen as a positive
• 12 years of working experience in a SCM role; 5 years team management

Roles:

· Identify new projects / sales opportunities.

· Create strong sales pipeline; develop and maintain relationship with interior designers and architects.

· Attend to walk-in clients and provide consultation on various products.

Requirements

• Strong writing and communication skills (English and Mandarin)

Handle follow-up requests, and complaints from employers to counsel MDWs after deployment

Ad-hoc tasks as per assigned by the manager
