Purpose
To drive our continuous growth in Southeast Asia, we are strengthening our Sales and Business Development team with the new role of Vice President. This role is intended to lead all company Sales & Partnership activities globally.
The new role will have overall responsibility for Pomelo’s Commercial strategy and its implementation as well as the hiring and development of the Sales team. The successful candidate will lead the revenue generation strategy and execution as well as manage the entire sales and marketing process. The role will propose sales targets and have the responsibility to deliver the agreed revenue. The VP will collaborate with the CEO, CTO and CPO in a Fintech environment. The suitable candidate will be a thought leader in the Payments ecosystem, with a drive to disrupt the current market.

- Define and deliver company revenue targets

Key Responsibilities

- This role will play a critical function in Pomelo’s leadership team, driving sales and partnerships and ensuring all necessary tools, processes, procedures and staff are in place to successfully support revenue and partnerships goals
- Create a standardised go-to-market approach to clients and coordinate its implementation across sales channels, strategic account management, and marketing
- Develop growth strategies with the executive team
- Create accountability within the company by developing appropriate metrics and coordinating compensation and promotions aligned with these metrics
- Prospect and close relationships with key target clients
- Establish both short-term targets and long-term sales strategy, including industries targeted, and revenue projections
- Monitor the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition thru to successful launch and follow-on business engagements
- Fill management gaps by building and training individuals and teams in Sales Leadership, Partnership Development and Account Management
- Develop and implement robust sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, and proposals
- Oversee all Channel/Partner Development adding new sales channels and 3rd party resellers and partners
- Represent Pomelo on industry bodies and forums
- Direct in-market resources to assure that all goals are supported in a cost effective, timely manner, with a resulting high level of client satisfaction.

- 10+ years in progressive sales & partnership development leadership positions, with knowledge and experience in the Payments and Financial Services industries

Technical/Functional
Specific & unique technical/functional competencies necessary to be successful in this role
- Functional and regulatory experience in Acceptance, Merchant Acquiring, Interchange Management, financial transaction processing knowledge and client sales
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Cultural experience of Southeast Asia business development & partnership environment
