Our client is a leading MNC in the shipping industry. It is looking to hire an experienced marketing cand for the position of a Manager, Marketing.
Summary: The Sales/Marketing department is responsible for promoting and developing the firm’s relationships with the Shipping companies at HQ and Regional HQ levels. As a Manager Marketing, you are responsible for management of customers’ business requirements to strengthen partnerships and grow business opportunities.
This is essentially a global sales/ marketing role requiring the cand to be equipped with global key account management skills. We are also seeking for a good communicator with excellent influencing skills to interact with external customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Act as a Customer Account Manager for some key global corporate customers to ensure growth in support with these customers. Work on developing and strengthening these key relationships.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize the assigned customers’ portfolios and work on converting leads into sales
- Actively engage as a partner to assigned customers and understand these key customers’ development plans so that the co can respond to their requirements.
- Propose and implement marketing strategies to better present product offerings to key clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years’ experience in shipping industry.
- Background in marketing and/or account servicing with key account management experience gained in the shipping industry.
- Has experience covering containerised shipping
- Ability to work under tight deadlines & keen interest in learning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal/influencing skills.
- Strong customer focus and the ability to build longer term relationships and business opportunities
- Self-starter who is a fast learner who thrive in a fast paced and global work environment. Able to work independently and constantly strive to achieve results
- Ability to speak Mandarin is required as this role will require interfacing with some Mandarin speaking customers.
