Assistant Event Manager

The Assistant Event Manager is responsible for the development, planning and overall operational and execution of meetings, conferences, incentive travel programs and/or special events. The Assistant Event Manager works on a variety of projects simultaneously and serves as the day-to-day planning contact for each respective department. The Assistant Event Manager is responsible for the day-to-day internal contact and project planning functions and overseeing such elements as website development, attendee management, budget management, and final program billing.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, follow up with site inspection notes, revised estimated budget, program itinerary and program timeline
• Utilize, recommend and leverage BCD Meetings & Events preferred hotel agreements and approved Destination Management Companies (DMC).
• Negotiate and purchase ground transportation, entertainment and décor elements via preferred DMCs and/or direct vendors.
• Ensure timely payment of all supplier/vendor bills and oversee invoice payment of deposits are received on time
• Work with various departments to develop, coordinate and implement program agendas and itineraries
• Work with business leadership to create, develop, price and facilitate new and repeat business proposals, including, but not limited to destination, air, hotel, activity and event overviews
• Conduct internal pre-program briefings and post-program debriefings, including briefing and debriefings.
• Manage day-to-day internal program budgets, present to Manager and Event owner for review and approval prior to sending to the client.
• Source destination, air, hotel and venue options that meet the goals and objectives of the departments.
• Track and manage air, hotel and vendor attrition, cancellation and deposit schedules.
• Facilitate the creative direction and fulfillment of program-related participant and host communications materials, including but not limited to save the dates, registration announcements, room gifts, pre-trip and on-site materials, including program signage and participant name badges.
• Reconcile all final billing on-site prior to final billing being sent to Finance and ensure final billing timeline is met.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst or Project Manager to join our team of developers and business analysts. Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for various stakeholders across the organization, ensuring clear, consistent, and effective communication.
• Project Management: Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives. Manage resources, timelines, and budgets while balancing competing priorities.
• Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts to deeply understand stakeholder requirements, translating them into actionable plans for developers.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers and analysts, providing support, feedback, and guidance to ensure optimal team productivity and morale.
• Problem Solving: Address project-related challenges with a solution-oriented mindset and maintain composure under pressure.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine processes to increase efficiency and team engagement.
• Reporting & Documentation: Generate detailed reports on project status, milestones, and budget. Maintain accurate and accessible documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project management or business systems analysis.
• Proven track record in stakeholder management, with demonstrated ability to handle complex or challenging personalities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely to stakeholders of all levels.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
• Relevant certifications (PMP, CBAP, or similar).
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project and other Project Management tools
• Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) Solutions
• Experience in Salesforce and other Enterprise CRM platforms
• Background in the higher education sector, with an understanding of its unique challenges and requirements.

Partner Solutions develops technical Cloudflare champions within the Partner ecosystem, guides Partner technical sellers through their Cloudflare journey to build & grow Partner Practices, and collaboratively celebrates joint successes.

What you’ll do as a Senior Manager, Partner SE in APJC

You will play a pivotal role in driving our partner technical strategies, enhancing partner capabilities, and contributing directly to the success of our partnerships. In this role, you will guide Channel partners through their Cloudflare journey with your strong leadership, technical, and business acumen as well as lead, mentor, and develop a team of Partner Solutions Engineers to deliver technical coverage aligned with our Partner Program.

The Partner Solutions team engages with Partners to provide expert technical guidance and expertise, including leading technical discussions, demos, and presentations to partners and their clients. Your team will collaborate with partners on solution design, integration, and implementation, as well as provide hands-on technical assistance during offer development and integration.

To aid your team, you will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product, through to Engineering and Customer Support. Your goal of partner and customer success should drive you through the entire organization as you seek out and advise your team on how to provide scalable technical coverage for partner needs.

Ultimately, you are passionate about technology, have the ability to explain complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms, and you like coaching and teaching. You are naturally curious, and an avid builder who is not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty.

As a Partner Solutions Engineering Manager at Cloudflare, you will be part of a diverse group of technically minded folks working together to bring our technology through Cloudflare’s Partner Network to end customers.

Reporting to the Global Director of Partner Solutions, you will be responsible for the performance and development of your team of Solution Engineers, ensuring team growth, operational efficiency, and collaboration with the Revenue organization to expand and strengthen our Partner ecosystem.

Specifically, we are looking for you to:

• Build and lead your team with clarity, authority and empathy. Create an environment of psychological safety, where collaboration is expected and encouraged and where innovation and creativity thrives.
• Apply your technical background, excellent communication, and presentation skills to build strong relationships with partners and team members.
• Directly contribute by engaging hands-on with partners to drive partner success and guide them through their Cloudflare partner journey.
• Articulate and demonstrate the execution of your team vision and strategy, internally and externally. Foster team collaboration.
• Be focused on coaching and developing your team for both functional and technical skills.
• Manage & report on complex technical projects, cross-functional initiatives, and operational progress, including partner development metrics.
• Exemplify and support the navigation of building technical partner practices by partnering with your peers in the Revenue organization, engaging with your team to drive successful partner journey experiences
• Represent Solutions Engineering, building relationships with key business partners and stakeholders. This will include peer SE Leaders, Sales Leadership, Product, Support, and Engineering. Leverage these relationships to ensure the success of Cloudflare, our Partners and our Customers.

  Workflow from user to application, including hybrid cloud architectures and serverless application development
