Seeking a dynamic and experienced Distributor Sales Manager for a European Diagnostics company to lead our expansion efforts in the APAC region, this position will report directly to the Distributor Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities:

The Distributor Sales Manager will focus on implementing strategic initiatives to expand footprint in APAC markets.

Main Tasks :

1) Business Development:

• Develop and implement strategies to penetrate key markets, enhance market presence and demand for our diagnostic solutions.
• Identify, generate, and cultivate new business opportunities, including onboarding distributors, customers, and strategic partners.

2) Sales Growth through Distribution Management:

• Lead revenue growth in the Asia Pacific region by identifying, onboarding new distribution channels while optimizing existing partnerships to enhance commercial success.
• Monitor distributor performance and alignment with strategic objectives to ensure effective execution of sales strategies, and maximize sales performance to support the company’s global growth strategy.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence.
• Conduct market studies to understand regional dynamics and develop strategies for optimal market penetration and customer acquisition.
• Support and lead the launch of new products in the APAC markets.

3) Marketing Initiatives:

• Organize and oversee product awareness campaigns, seminars, and events in collaboration with the marketing team and the local distributors.
• Foster relationships with distributors, customers, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and represent us at relevant congresses and seminars.

4) Stakeholder Collaboration and Regulatory Compliance

• Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams (including sales, product marketing, communication, regulatory affairs, order management, technical support, field application specialists, finance, and corporate management) to ensure alignment with our business objectives.
• Conduct all commercial activities in line with our quality policies and ensure compliance with local and global regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Commercial leadership experience in APAC markets.

• Experience in Distributor Development/Management in APAC

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in relevant scientific fields

• In-depth knowledge of molecular diagnostics, including q-PCR and NGS( Next Generation Sequencing) technologies.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

• Flexibility and cultural sensitivity to work in a rapidly growing yet still small company

• Proactive, self-motivated, independent, solutions-oriented, and adaptable to dynamic

environments.

• Regular travel across Asia Pacific region is required

Job responsibilities will include:
• Explaining new products, technology, workflows and solutions to customers including in the battery, steel, automotive, and coatings industries, as well as to academic researchers.
• Initiating and driving business development projects to deliver pipeline and bookings growth for electron microscopy and XPS products in the region.
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers to better understand how to make them successful, both in academia and industry.
• Market research and analysis, including participating in microscopy societies and conferences, using online tools such as websites, databases and social media, and identifying key opinion leaders
• Delivering pipeline and bookings growth for FIB, SEM, TEM and XPS products in the region
• Event planning and execution including conferences, workshops, trade shows and webinars, and presenting at such events.
• Adapting or translating marketing and presentation materials for local use.
• Training the sales force about new solutions, applications and competitor products.

The ideal candidate would have:
• A university degree or equivalent, preferably a PhD or similar research experience in the field of materials science, metallurgy, electron microscopy, nanotechnology, physics, chemistry, engineering or similar
• Strong understanding of electron microscopy technology and application to Materials Science research, preferably with hands-on experience
• A passion for electron microscopy and materials science
• Be a fast learner willing to tackle new challenges in a sales environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to explain technical concepts and applications clearly to a range of audiences, to gain trust, to influence and persuade others, to present at conferences, and to work well in teams.

What will you be doing?
As a member of our sales team, you play a key role to maintain and grow our market in Singapore, Malaysia and the rest of Southeast Asia, reporting directly to Arcadia Business Unit Manager. You will be establishing and maintaining strong contacts with existing and new customers at all levels of their organization in order to foster good working relationships and promote business opportunities.

• Leading the sales activities in distribution product line, as well as owning the fab account customers assigned
• Execute our sales, business development and marketing strategy and roadmap
• Regularly contact and visit customers to promote our products and generate sales leads
