We are seeking a motivated candidate with great communication skills and an understanding of the cybersecurity and network industry. This Presales role involves collaborating with the sales team to understand customer requirements, designing custom solutions, and offering technical expertise. You will play a crucial role in the sales process by helping potential customers understand how a product or service meets their specific needs, providing detailed product demonstrations and addressing technical queriers, ensuring clients see the full range of our offerings.
Your job will also include pitching the company’s products and services as suitable solutions, actively observe customer behavior and predict future needs for solution development. Ultimately, the role of the Presales Manager is to provide technical assistance to our sales team, drive revenue growth, and help build customer relationships that add value to the company.
The Role
To accomplish this goal, your typical responsibilities include:
▪ Assist the sales team in qualifying potential opportunities by providing technical and functional expertise
▪ Identify and understand the specific needs of the clients
▪ Generate new sales opportunities
▪ Engage with prospective customers to understand their technical requirements and business goals
▪ Conduct detailed needs assessments to identify the most suitable network solutions for each customer
▪ Work the sales team to create comprehensive proposals and respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) with accurate and compelling solutions
▪ Work closely with the sales team to develop account strategies and sales plans
▪ Deliver presentations and demonstrations to prospective and current clients
▪ Liaise with those developing products/services to gain an in-depth knowledge that you can relate to customers – and to let them in on user behaviour and/or any potential changes clients would like
▪ Design and develop tailored solutions that meet client requirements
▪ Prepare and present proposals and RFIs to clients
▪ Respond timely and accurately to technical and functional product or service queries to clients during the sales process to help clarify any doubts and explain the product’s advantages
▪ Work closely with the sales team and technical team to ensure coordination and smooth execution of sales processes
▪ Consider new markets or clients to contact, based on your knowledge of both the products or services and their uses
▪ Build and maintain strong customer relationships with potential clients throughout the presales process
▪ Train the sales team on the technical aspects of the product or service
▪ Stay up-to-date with product developments and industry trends to provide the most current information to potential clients and during customer interactions
▪ Participate in trade shows and conferences to promote the company’s solutions
Requirements:
▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business qualifications or a related field
▪ Proven 3 to 5 years of experience in presales, sales engineering, or technical consulting. Leadership experience is a plus
▪ Strong understanding of enterprise software and solutions.
▪ Ability to lead and mentor the presales team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to support sales efforts effectively
▪ Clear, concise communication to explain complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
▪ Proficiency in creating and delivering persuasive presentations tailored to different audiences
▪ Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts
▪ Ability to research and keep on top of industry developments
▪ Influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers and guide prospects through the buying process by highlighting solution benefits
▪ Aptitude for time management and organisational skills to manage multiple client interactions and presentations simultaneously
▪ Solution-oriented analytical skills
▪ Customer-focused attitude with proactive approach to finding solutions that meet client needs while aligning with company offerings
▪ Ability to quickly understand client needs and pivot the strategy accordingly is crucial
▪ Well-versed with Excel and CRM software.
