Job Title: Sales Assistant Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Assistant Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Sales Manager in overseeing daily sales operations, driving revenue growth, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays, as well as strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management and Strategy:
1. Assist the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability.
2. Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and identify trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
3. Collaborate with the sales team to set sales goals, track progress, and implement action plans to meet or exceed targets.
Customer Relationship Management:
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, clients, and partners to drive repeat business and enhance customer loyalty.
5. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
6. Identify customer needs and preferences, and provide personalized recommendations and solutions to meet their requirements.
Team Leadership and Development:
7. Supervise and mentor sales associates, providing guidance, support, and training to help them achieve individual and team sales goals.
8. Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and demonstrating effective sales techniques to inspire and motivate the sales team.
9. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
Inventory and Merchandising:
10. Coordinate with the inventory management team to ensure adequate stock levels and availability of products to meet customer demand.
11. Oversee product merchandising and display efforts to optimize visual presentation and attract customers' attention to promotional items and new arrivals.
12. Monitor inventory turnover rates, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and maximize sales opportunities.
Operational Support and Compliance:
13. Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security measures.
14. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, as well as relevant regulations and laws governing sales operations.
15. Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and logistics, to streamline processes and resolve operational issues.
Qualifications:
l Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
l Proven experience in sales management or supervisory role, preferably in retail or consumer goods industry.
l Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve sales targets.
l Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a customer-centric approach and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
l Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays, as well as evenings or extended hours during peak sales periods.
l Proficiency in sales and inventory management systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
l Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales performance.
