The Director, Travel Vertical lead will be a part of the Acceptance team within the Merchant Sales and Acquiring (MS&A) hub organization. This is a team of thought leaders and execution-focused specialists who deploy acceptance growth initiatives and seller-side solutions to catalyse acceptance growth across Asia Pacific. Market Analysis

• Generate market insights by monitoring market movements, analyzing internal reports and engaging with origin trading teams
• Provide market insights to internal colleagues and external customers

Commercial Reporting and Operation

• Perform commercial analysis and maintain commercial records, e.g. forecast, action plan, sales channel, commercial reporting, Salesforce
• Responsible for financial result reporting to leadership, including monthly comments, periodic business review
• Manage contract execution with operations team to ensure customer satisfaction, e.g. logistics, freight rates, payments
• Mange customer complaints with internal and external stakeholders

Education/Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial sales or trading of seed and tropical oils
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Entrepreneurial with strong customer ownership & troubleshooting mind-set
• Good data analytical skill with strength in Microsoft Excel
• A strong communicator
• Strong proficiency in English
• Any proficiency in one Asia language eg. Chinese, Bahasa, Korean.

This role manages campaigns and drives activities leading to online sales growth. Key Projects include but not limited to: Bank promotion, Rewards program, Rating & Reviews, etc.

• Support the Channel Marketing lead on day to day activities that is geared towards driving Singapore direct-to-Consumer (Samsung.com store) to grow and drive sales through definition of strategic initiatives
• Assist towards campaign execution, tracking as well as report generation
• Ownership of a project that is pivotal towards driving Samsung.com sales in a sales and marketing capacity
• Translating global playbook into local, timely execution
• Manage internal communications with both internal and external stakeholders

Summary

The Senior Sales Manager reporting to Director of Sales is responsible for identifying, developing and managing accounts within specific segments and develop new accounts or business opportunities within corporate travel industry/leisure generating and maximizing business potential of designated portfolio through daily sales activities.

The Senior Sales Manager will assist the Director of Sales to accelerate corporate, or Leisure client base by expanding the hotel’s business through executing the developed strategic plans to drive measurable and incremental sales revenue meeting revenue targets set within Mondrian. This position requires an excellent communication skill, both written and verbal and to have a proactive and growth mind-set to work towards a successful hotel sales strategy.

Business Development

• Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
• Meet or exceed personal sales solicitation call goals based on a minimum of 5 daily appointments covering existing and prospective accounts.
• Responsible for administration of all support services including but not limited to responding to emails and correspondence, input and maintenance of databases.
• Maintains a high profile within trade and professional associates dealing with their market area/segment(s)
• Interacts with individuals outside the hotel within their sales area including, but not limited to clients, local hotel associations and other members of the local community
• Solicit corporate, consortia and leisure accounts directly and jointly with others through the preparation, execution and completion of Action Plans
• Implements all Sales Action Plans related to their sales area as outlined in the Revenue/Business Plan
• Within established parameters, quote and negotiate prices with customer representatives confirming reservations by letter and drawing up contracts; sign for the hotel and obtain customer signature to close the transaction
• Upon contracting accounts, this position will be responsible for ongoing account management with contracted accounts and setting of production targets on a quarterly basis
• Achieve established room night and revenue goals as outlined in the agreed upon incentive and annual business plan
• When appropriate, and with agreement with the DOSM, to attend major travel functions (trade shows, associations) that deal specifically with their marketing responsibility
• Plans sales trips, under the direct approval of the DOS, to major marketing areas, calling on accounts within their specific marketing area
• As directed, compile and input market intelligence information to the Sales Information Management system
• Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
• Actively promote and produce sales leads for other sister hotels and for in house sales staff
• Provides feedback to the DOS/DOSM/DOR on changing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct solicitation, telephone and direct mail, in their market areas. 
• Arrange FAM and Site inspection trips to hotels by major clients and accompanies clients
• Meets deadlines for assigned tasks
• Establishes and maintain files on major active accounts within their marketing area/segment(s)
• Establishes and maintains effective employee relations
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
• Maintains punctuality and good timekeeping and appearance
• Trains and develops sales executives and sales coordinator and staff reporting to them in designated sales and marketing areas
• Preparation and completion of timesheets, Rota’s, holiday schedules, in line with business needs, as and when required
• Preparation and completion of Purchase Orders as and when required
• Undertake and complete any special projects, tasks or other reasonable request by your department head and/or Hotel Management
• Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance
• Participate in daily RevMax meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required
• Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers
• Attend local trade shows, community events and industry meetings.

• Take ownership of daily sales activities and maximize the productivity by following a system of weekly and monthly action plans

  Other duties assigned by the Director of Sales when required from time to time

• Drive VAS revenue and goals by working with market and regional Product teams, Sales teams, and other relevant cross-functional teams and stakeholders,

• Develop and execute VAS strategies to accelerate the growth of VAS in the cluster,

• Support pre- and post-sales engagements including but not limited to evaluating potential opportunities, creating client pipeline, and executing against sales plans,

• Execute activities throughout the sales cycle such as sales pitch, product demos/webinars, commercial offer, contracting, optimization, and audit management,

• Support the launch of new product initiatives, product enhancements, and acceleration plans,

• Assess the feasibility of rolling out new products and solutions into the cluster, understand and provide local market requirements that will influence the global product roadmap, and develop go-to-market and commercialization plans,

• Engage with clients during & post the sales journey to pitch, negotiate commercials and showcase value from usage

• Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Marketing Strategy Development - Contribute to the development of comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives. Work closely with business teams to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.
• Event Marketing - Plan and execute key company events such as Seminars, Webinars, Workshops, etc for businesses, publishers and creators with the aim of increasing brand awareness and generating leads
• Content Creation - Plan and develop engaging and relevant content for various channels, including local and regional social media, blogs (Website), and newsletters (EDMs).
• Email Marketing - Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and retain customers.
• Awards - support in the collation, creation and submission of award entries
• Competitor Analysis - Conduct regular analysis of competitors to stay informed about industry trends and market positioning.
• Partnership Marketing - Collaborate with partners for joint marketing initiatives to expand reach and drive mutual business goals. Work together with the Partnerships team to explore further joint marketing initiatives.
• Public Relations - Support with the engagement and dissemination of information to key media outlets, prepare spokespeople for any media interviews, and proactively pitch for interviews and media coverage.
• Localization - Assist with localisation of content from local languages in other markets into English

Requirements:

• University degree in communications, public relations, marketing communications or equivalent
• Fluent in English & Mandarin (Good to have)
• 1 - 3 years of B2B communication, PR or marketing experience
• Proven experience in organizing small-scale events
• Passion in B2B technology and startups (Marketing and e-commerce oriented)
• Results-driven and a willing learner
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a strong focus on quality and results
• Strong written skills in English across a variety of collaterals, alongside excellent communication and presentation skills – with strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the company.
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
