Job Responsibilities

This advertisement is for the recruiting position of Science Lab Assistant.

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to a MOE Primary School located in Jurong East.

Contract Period: From 25 March 2024 to 24 March

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 1:30pm
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
• Personnel will not be required to do overtime.

The Services required are set out as follows:

1. Assisting teachers in Science labs/classroom

• Prepare materials before science lessons for P3 to P6.
• Preparation of materials for practical tests

2. Assisting teachers in the labs during Science lessons.

• Assisting in the upkeep of equipment in Science lessons
• assisting teacher IC with : recording of loaning/breakage materials & annual stocking taking of materials in the science lab
• Checking and clearing of unwanted materials in the science lab
• Maintenances of equipment by checking the workability of the equipment
• Liaising with vendors to ensure maintenance and checks on equipment are carried out.

3. Maintenance of science lab

• Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the labs
• Changing of new displays in the display cabinets
• To disinfect science labs rooms as and when required

4. Any other administrative work related to maintenance and upkeep of science labs.

5. Assists General Office with general administrative duties.

• Provide administrative support at General Office
• Provide customer service at the reception counter - attend to visitors including parents, staff, pupils and vendors
• Answer phone calls within three rings, record phone messages and attend to walk-in enquiries
• Make phone calls e.g. helping sick pupils to call parents
• Attend to goods delivery and direct them to the appropriate locations
• Escort contractors.
• Assist in logistics matters for e.g. packing of items, preparation of rooms for school functions: etc
• Shredding of documents
• To perform gate duties during school arrival and dismissal time and during time of heavy traffic
• Preparation and verification of documents, maintaining and updating of data record, filing and typing and data entry
• Accompany pupils and teachers on learning journey as and when required
• Any other duties assigned by principal, vice-principal and HOD/Science deemed necessary for a Science Lab Assistant

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

• Candidate should have a minimum diploma from a recognised institution. (Qualification in Science related areas would be beneficial)
• The applicant should demonstrate knowledge and skills in handling common Lab equipment found in school labs. (eg. Microscope, data loggers, etc.)
• The applicant preferably have a minimum 3 years relevant experience in a MOE School, either in similar role or similar context.

Responsibilities:
● Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities
● Work in partnership with the wider sales team to develop & execute the
commercial strategy to win new business through agencies, platforms and
brands
● Lead a cross-market sales team and support them to achieve new business and
quotas.
● Achieve new business and quotas
● Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across our advertiser and agency
partners.
● Work closely with the Customer Success team and Technical Account Managers
to develop growth strategies across our key business portfolios.
● Represent IAS at industry events including leading keynote presentations or
speaking on panels.
● Work closely with local and regional management to align revenue goals.
● Ensure pipeline is maintained and provide commentary to weekly, monthly and
quarterly reporting
● Be highly visible within the company’s highest revenue-generating sales team
and participate in industry events / panels
● Keep up to date with all programmatic product enhancements and developments
and communicate these to clients in a clear and intelligent manner.
● Collaborate with team members by sharing industry knowledge, trends and
developments.

Experience:

● Ideally 5+ years’ sales experience in a client-facing sales role, ideally from a
Digital Agency or AdTech
● Demonstrated proficiency in effectively managing, coaching, and mentoring sales
teams to achieve optimal performance and exceed targets
● Existing relationships with senior agency and brand stakeholders across
Southeast Asia
● A driven, commercial director to grow existing sales opportunities and source
new sales opportunities
● Public speaking experience at industry events preferred
● Experience leading client meetings, data analysis, and strategic business reviews
● Demonstrated track record of owning customer relationships, overseeing the
entire sales lifecycle and meeting / exceeding quotas
● Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas
● Experience in delivering accurate and predictable sales forecasting within a
weekly, monthly and quarterly cadence with demonstrable proficiency using
Salesforce

● A proven track record of forward and innovative thinking for driving business

Monitor Product Quality Compliance

Perform routine and non-standard tests on materials, products and other Quality Control purposes using HPLC, GC, Empower system etc

• Identify OOS, deviations and quality problems

• Report testing activities and results

• Comply with Quality and HSE procedures when carrying out sampling and QC tests

Manage Laboratory Operations

• Follow the organization’s operational excellence model for laboratory work

• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment

• Report equipment OOS issues and equipment purchase requests

• Maintain integrity, accuracy and completeness of QC data and records

Optimise quality and efficiency of department workflows and activities

• Assist in preparing and participate for laboratory inspections and audits

• Compile data to support business and performance metrics reporting

• Propose solutions to improve QC procedures, activities and workflows

• Gather information to support feasibility assessments of introducing new QC procedures, systems and equipment

Requirement

• Min Diploma in science.
• Min 6mnths to 1year experience in QC lab.
• Knowledge in operating HPLC and Empower software added advantage.
