Job Description

The Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health (GloW) aims to build a global research platform for transdisciplinary endeavours to address major health concerns over a woman's lifespan and across generations. Through its main hub in Singapore, the Centre will engage in multi-disciplinary research to promote women’s health, including a series of diet and lifestyle intervention studies.

Purpose of the role

The project coordinator/manager will play a key role in dietary intervention studies by actively managing and coordinating diet and lifestyle intervention studies in GloW. Responsibilities include development, implementation and monitoring of meal plans, educating participants as needed, collecting dietary data, and performing administrative duties to ensure the studies’ success and compliance. The staff will work closely with Principal Investigators of intervention studies, collaborate closely with the research team, food service team, and other relevant stakeholders, as well as undertake other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the Centre’s Director as needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The staff will hold a few key responsibilities, including

(1) Intervention study coordinator:

• Recruit and interview study participants for the intervention study
• Implement methods for collecting dietary data, including detailed food intake records and compliance monitoring.

Qualifications

A PhD in Psychology/Behavioral Science/Developmental Psychology/Education/Public Health or a related discipline.

Experience: Candidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

• Mixed methods applied research
• Multivariate statistical analyses and meta-analysis techniques using R, Python, or STATA
• Behavioural or Social Sciences applied to child health/development
• Implementation Science
• Programme Evaluation
• Education/Health Services or Applied Research

Skills

The candidate should also possess:

• Experience undertaking or leading independent research studies, as appropriate for career stage
• A strong grounding in mixed methods and applied educational, behavioural or health research – broadly defined
• Outstanding data analysis and visualization background
• Ability to search, summarize, and synthesize previous research in areas of interest to CHILD
• Strong project management and coordination skills, with attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
• Track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presentations in international or national scientific conferences, commensurate with career stage
• Excellent command of spoken and written English with excellent communication skills to present findings to English-speaking stakeholders
• A team player with an ability to work independently
• Highly motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented
• Keen interest in the area of early child development and passion for research translation and communication
