The Memory Aging & Cognition Centre (MACC) is a Research Center within the National University Health System funded by the Singapore National Medical Research Council that focuses on the study of dementia and cognitive impairment in the elderly. The MACC currently has 4 research themes on biomarker discovery, neuroimaging, clinical assessment and epidemiology.

There is an opportunity for a qualified candidate with interests in Neuroimaging to join the MACC in a Research Fellow role to study the neural basis of cognition and associated vulnerability patterns in neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular diseases. There is access to a 3T MR, MR-PET and retinal imaging.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform academic research on neuroimaging (CT, MRI, PET and retinal) and its association with cognition and other clinical outcomes in MACC observational and clinical trial cohorts.
2. Provide supervision and training to research associates / research assistants / students.
3. Validate neuroimaging biomarkers in Singaporean and global populations.
4. Supervise and perform neuroimaging rating and analyses for observational studies, clinical trials, and collaborative projects.
5. Provide expertise to work with collaborators on the design and analyses of imaging studies.
6. Supervise and perform neuroimaging data entry, data quality, data storage / backup and data sharing services for the MACC and its collaborators.

Qualifications

The Research Assistant who will play a key role in assisting in the development, execution and analysis of research aimed at addressing the challenges of training and operating in rising ambient temperatures. Purpose of the post

We invite applications for a highly motivated Research Assistant to work with the Principal Investigator and study team members to manage and conduct various research projects towards sustainable medicine, ensuring successful and timely completion of projects. This post has a specific focus on supporting the Centre’s research on understanding and quantifying the environmental impacts of healthcare products and clinical pathways.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The individual will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Develop new models and methodologies to account for the environmental impacts of health systems. The individual will develop skills in data collection, carbon footprinting, cost-benefit analysis, life cycle analysis, monitoring and reporting, scenario development, forecasting, and policy appraisal.
• Assist in evaluating the environmental impact of healthcare products and clinical pathways using a range of approaches including carbon footprints and broader life cycle assessment.
• Assist in the data retrieval and critical appraisal of secondary data sources that evaluate the environmental impact of healthcare products and clinical pathways
• Engage in a variety of research-related activities including literature searches and reviewing, preparation of research materials, data collection, entry, analysis, and interpretation using in accordance with the highest research standards.
• Perform research operations and administration duties such as the preparation of grant, ethics review applications, manuscripts, reports, and other relevant documentation of study-related matters.
• Perform other administrative and basic project management support to the research projects, as assigned by the Director/Principal Investigator.
• Function as an effective, dynamic team player as part of the wider CoSM team.

Appointments will be made on a 12-month contract basis with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

The applicant must:

1. Hold a bachelor’s degree in disciplines related to any of the following:A highly numerate subject (engineering, mathematics, physics, statistics, econometrics, computer science, operational research, or similar).
   Environmental and climate sciences.
   Public health and health services research.
   Demonstrate a keen interest in sustainability, energy systems, climate change, and/or health services and public health.
   Be highly numerate, analytical, and be willing to work with complex datasets.
   Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office, including Excel (use of functions, data tables, pivot tables, statistical analysis, data visualization, macros, etc.).

Our objective is to drive innovation in power device research, particularly in power MOSFETs rated above 1.2KV. Developing key innovative process is crucial for creating high-performance devices that will contribute to advancements in automotive technologies, vehicle electrification, safety measures, sustainable energy grids, data centers, and industrial & aerospace automation. This role involve growing leadership into ion implantation processes for p-body, channel, guard ring, source contact, and other components. We are currently seeking such individual with ~5 years of experience in ion implantation. The chosen candidate will be responsible for independently supervising ion implantation processes, conducting ion implant simulations, possessing knowledge of crystallography and ion interaction with atoms, having strong understanding of implanters and related thermal processing physics, beam optics, dosimetry systems, and vacuum technology. The ideal candidate should also be willing to collaborate with various departments, the technology development group, and customers. Furthermore, the candidate will contribute to the wide-bandgap team by sharing the ion implantation expertise on compound semiconductor materials and collaborate with other departments working with Si-based technology.
