We are currently recruiting for part-time Product Evaluators/Sensory Panellists to join our new expert panel based at Harbourside 1,1 Boon Leat Terrace S119843 #05-01.

We have the following hours available:

AM Panel - working on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – 9.30am – 12.30pm

Employees start on $14 per hour, rising to $15 per hour after six months.

These roles involve:

• Working individually and within a team to evaluate products within the food, drink and personal care industry
• Products range from food & beverages (including alcohol, meat & individual ingredients) through to personal care & household products (e.g. shampoo, skin care products)
• You will be taught how to generate sensory descriptive vocabulary as a group (relating to the taste, appearance, texture and smell of a product) and then individually evaluate products on these descriptors
• No experience necessary as full training training will be given

Requirements needed for this role:

• Good sensory acuity relating to smell and taste (this will be tested during a screening session)
• You should have the ability to follow detailed instructions
• You should be comfortable completing routine tasks quickly and accurately
• The ability to articulate yourselves in fluent English in front of others
• You must not have any dietary restrictions (e.g. vegetarian) & be happy to evaluate alcohol products when required
• You must not have any food intolerances/allergies
• You must agree not to wear any perfume and use any strong-smelling hand creams as this could affect your work

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a top university in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or other related disciplines
• Strong statistical analysis and research skills
• Strong programming skills
• Superior team player attitude and highly motivated, self-starter
• (Preferred) Experience in conducting independent research, or a PhD from a prestigious university
• (Preferred) Experience and medals in machine learning competitions like Kaggle contests

Job Details:

• Salary: S$2000 - S$2800
• Working Location: Nanyang Drive
• Working hours: 8.30am to 5.45pm (Mon-Thur) / 8.30am to 5.15pm (Fri)
• Duration: 6 months (renewable, subject to performance)

Job Descriptions:

• Input up-to-date research findings and prospect data into UAO’s donor database.
• Conduct simple research on prospective donors using public sources to help identify new individuals and corporates who could donate, and to help compile profiles to prepare fundraisers.
• Compile and update donation and fund related information in the departments CRM database.
• Provide support in preparation of data for development of new data analytics projects, e.g., studying effectiveness of email content.
• Other basic database admin connected to prospects and donors.

Requirements

• Possess experience working on databases and reviewing and collating quantitative data or qualitative information from public sources.
• Possess some research experience and skills (e.g. academic/study research, market research, fundraising research).
• Knowledge of MS Office applications including MS Excel and Word.
• Ability to work on tight deadlines and work independently and in a team.
• Demonstrate resourcefulness and flexibility.
