Job Description
The Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health (GloW) aims to build a global research platform for transdisciplinary endeavours to address major health concerns over a woman's lifespan and across generations. Through its main hub in Singapore, the Centre will engage in multi-disciplinary research to promote women’s health, including a series of diet and lifestyle intervention studies.
Purpose of the role
The project coordinator/manager will play a key role in dietary intervention studies by actively managing and coordinating diet and lifestyle intervention studies in GloW. Responsibilities include performing administrative duties to ensure the studies’ success and compliance. The staff will work closely with Principal Investigators of intervention studies, collaborate closely with the research team, food service team, and other relevant stakeholders, as well as undertake other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the Centre’s Director as needed.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The staff will hold a few key responsibilities, including
- Recruit and interview study participants for the intervention study
- Provide administrative leadership for the trial, ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethics and governance requirements
- Train research assistants/research associates for the conduct of the intervention studies
- Maintain accurate records related to trial administration, participant interactions, and regulatory documentation
- Any other ad-hoc duties as allocated by the Centre Director
Qualifications
- Possess a Master's degree (in Science or technology allied to food, health or nutrition, or relevant areas)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Sound understanding of the research environment
- Adherence to high standards of professional integrity and ethics
- Preferably with at least 6 years of relevant working experience for clinical research
- Independence and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment, adept at working under tight deadlines
- Commitment to the ongoing development of a positive organizational culture
- Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on skills and evidence-based medical information
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (e.g. Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint), online meeting tools
