Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

To develop microfluidic-based vascular platforms for atherosclerosis, immunology and extracellular vesicles research. Responsibilities include but not limited to microfluidics engineering, cell culture, processing biofluid (e.g. blood) samples and data analysis/reporting, grant writing, supervision of PhD students etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on a project to develop novel microfluidics and organ-on-chip platforms
• Perform research related to diabetes, atherosclerosis and peripheral arterial diseases
• Perform in vitro drug testing using microfluidics and in-vitro assays
• Fabrication and validation of microfluidic devices using cell lines, blood and clinical samples.

Job Requirements:

• Interested candidate should possess a PhD degree qualification in biomedical engineering, vascular biology or a relevant biological discipline. We seek a motivated individual who can work well independently as well as with a team. He/she is preferred to have:
• Experiences in organ-on-chip and/or vascular biology research

Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in strategy development and execution, real estate research, market analysis, or related roles within the private equity, alternative assets, or real estate investment industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Real Estate, or related field. A master's degree or CFA designation is preferred.
• Strong analytical and solutioning skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable plans.
