Data is core to Preqin’s industry offerings, and the data and research management team delivers accurate, timely and complete data enhancing the value of our award-winning offerings. Responsibilities

In this role you will be:

• Proactively communicating and building relationships with key professionals of all levels within the alternative assets industry to obtain valuable proprietary information on past, current and future investment activities

Qualifications

The Role Responsibilities

As part of the Client Risk Assessment (“CRA”) Model Development team, the role is responsible for the development and change management of the CRA Models, utilised by the Conduct, Financial Crime & Compliance (“CFCC”) Risk Assessment team, ensuring they provide for appropriate measurement of risk. The accountability for this role also covers the appropriate sourcing and usage of data for simulation of model changes and analysis of existing CRA models.

Background:

Client Risk Assessment (“CRA”) Model – As part of the Client Due Diligence (CDD) process the team is responsible for ensuring that the CRA model provides ratings that appropriately reflect the financial crime risk. The role is responsible for ensuring modelling approaches are fit for purpose, incorporating the latest data-driven statistical approaches, qualitative information from risk owners as well as policy/regulatory requirements. The role holder is expected to liaise with CFCC risk managers, business users and data providers across the bank to provide and advise on practical but defensible approaches to develop and maintain CRA models. We are seeking to recruit a Research Associate to join Dr. Gianluca Grenci's laboratory on Microfabricated platforms for 3D cell culturing and imaging. This position is offered in the framework of a new research project funded by the Singaporean Office for Space Technology and Industry (OSTIN).

Project Scope

The project “Zero-G wells: a 3D tissues growing platform for human tissue regeneration study in microgravity conditions” is aimed at studying the effects of gravitational forces on the regulation of cell and tissue homeostasis. To this end, we will engineer an advanced version of our JeWells platform [1] which allows the growth of thousands of organoids in parallel while maintaining full access for standard and advanced microscopies. The effects of mechanical unloading will be tested on different biological models by subjecting them to conditions of hypo- and hyper-gravity. We will make use of simulation tools (with e.g. a Random Positioning Machine, RPM), and 0-g parabolic flight conditions; these experiences will also give the necessary feedback to prepare our set-up in compliance with the experimental conditions and policies required to apply for access to the International Space Station (ISS).
