We are looking for a Senior/Research Fellow to work on advanced in vitro models of Asian aging skin. The role will focus on < the development of skin equivalents that mimic key aspects of aging in Asian skin types as faithfully as possible. The work is a key effort in a large Programme that aims to improve our understanding of Asian skin aging and develop interventions to support Asian skin health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and test in vitro aging skin models in collaboration with other partners in the program
• Communicate and coordinate with other efforts (work packages) in the program
• Regular reporting of findings to program stakeholders
• Support programme manager in reporting and (financial) administration on the skin model work package
• Where necessary, support/supervise research assistants and (under)graduate students

Job Requirements:

The lab of Computational Transcriptomics at the Genome Institute of Singapore (led by Dr Jonathan Göke) is offering a position for a postdoctoral fellow to develop methods for analyzing long read transcriptomics data. The successful candidate will lead software and methods development to analyze RNA modifications from nanopore direct RNA-Seq data. The candidate is expected to develop new supervised and unsupervised approaches using statistics and machine learning, and to apply them to clinical samples. The position will be in close collaboration with experimental and clinical collaborators and industry partners, and provide full access to the capabilities of the sequencing platform.

The candidate will join an experienced team with expertise in collaborative software development and direct RNA-Seq data analysis (e.g. xPore, Nature Biotechnology (2021), m6Anet, Nature Methods (2022), bambu, Nature Methods (2023)), large scale transcriptomics data generation (e.g. the SG-NEx project), and access to the latest long read sequencing technologies. Strategic Innovation role is to support GIS T-BD office to develop, manage and track each innovation project in GIS within the FoS funnel.

He/She is to take the lead to drive translation outcome using the FoS engine as a mechanism such as calling/scouting/fishing for new innovation ideas, developing innovation projects, and validating/supporting the projects leaders to achieve funding and eventual spin-off. We seek a passionate research scientist to work on the development of novel ultrathin liquid metal oxides for applications in two-dimensional material heterostructure nano-electronics. This project aims to develop scalable techniques to create atomically smooth dielectric interfaces with 2D semiconductors to enable next-generation devices.

• Synthesize and characterize novel liquid metal based ultrathin 2D oxides.
• Design, fabricate, and measure electronic and quantum devices using 2D materials, such as field effect transistors, tunnelling transistors, and gate-defined quantum dots.
