We are seeking one (1) talented postdoctoral researcher to join the Synthetic Biology Translational Research Programme (TRP) at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The Nanyang Technological University NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory is seeking to hire a Research Scientist. The selected candidate will innovate hybridized composite materials and thin film coatings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize vacuum coating processes, and leading R&D efforts in material science for application development.
• Drives the development and implementation of coating techniques.
• Conducts various design simulations to refine processes.
• Oversee the transition from experimental designs to scalable solutions.
• Additionally, the role requires preparation and delivery of comprehensive reports to satisfy the stipulations of funding entities and corporate mandates.

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or science discipline is required.
• At least 5 years of combined specialized post-doctoral experience in industry or a recognized research institute.

The Tropical Marine Science Institute (TMSI) invites applicants for the above posts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Regular field trips onboard a research vessel (may extend outside conventional office hours)
• Field trip planning and preparation
• Water profiling on research vessel using multiparameter optical sensors
• Water quality analysis in the lab using spectrophotometer

• Cell culture and culture maintenance
• Post processing of data collected

Job responsibility

You will interact closely with SIgN Management, Principal Investigators and scientists, and external academic and industry partners and research institutions.

1. Promote SIgN research to Industry Partners. Facilitate SIgN researchers to communicate with industry partners on potential collaborations. Help to grow SIgN business activities by being proactive in creating new opportunities and new markets. Investigate on potential national and regional businesses.
2. Promote SIgN platform technologies to external academic and industry partners and research institutions for service engagements and collaborations through seminars, conferences, roadshows and exhibitions. Network with local and international partners and institutions to develop relations within Life Sciences and Immunology and promote use of SIgN platforms. Engage external partners and institutions in service agreements and collaborations.
3. Negotiate and administer Research Collaboration Agreements (RCA), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) and Confidentiality Agreements. Review and file Technology Disclosures and work with HQ I&E on IP filing.
4. Coordinate with Project Management Office (PMO) on the management of industry and IAF-PP/IAF-ICP projects.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Field of Study: PhD or Masters in Life Sciences/Immunology/Molecular Biology or related fields, with relevant industry experience (preferred)

Min. Years of Experience: At least more than 10 years of business development or sales experience strongly preferred
