As the Research Engineer (Equipment/Operations), you are directly involved in tool installation activities for semiconductor process tools. You would need to work proactively to coordinate with the contractor on the ground for the execution and take corrective and preventive actions of lessons learned, due diligently to prevent reoccurrence. You are responsible for performing utilities turn-on after installation is completed. You must perform the activities per ASTAR site procedure and safety policies to ensure all tool-install-related activities are completed, meeting safety, quality, schedule and budget requirements. Working hours : 9am - 6pm
Salary Range: $3500 to $4200

Responsibilities:

• New product planning:

- Ideation: generate, develop, curate and prioritise ideas.

- Organise and define requirements based on market data and customer insights.

- Analyse industrial trends and do technology assessment.

- Evaluate scientific information to generate concepts for new product innovations; define product features.

- Define product competitive positioning and unique selling proposition (USP).

- Prepare and execute new product development (NPD) plan, ensuring processes occur within the

necessary timeframes to deliver a product to market.

- Align cross-functional Scrum team through Agile methodology.

• New product development (NPD):

- Source for contract manufacturers and liaise with engineers/ formulators to develop new product; be the main contact point with these suppliers for NPD/ formulation discussions.

- Review formulas and ingredient/ design statements for new product that is compliant with regulations.

- Conduct or work with contract manufacturer for efficacy assessment, literature review, product trial and testing.

- Work with contract manufacturers for safety assessment and stability study of products.

- Define critical attributes of final products, work with Quality team to finalise product master specifications and list of required lab tests.

- Work with Regulatory Affairs to finalise label text of products and with designer for packaging design.

- Technical resource for Regulatory Affairs, including providing technical document such as formula, raw material COA, efficacy, stability and safety information.

- Research market prices, create accurate product costing data and propose product pricing.

- Present new product for management’s review.

• New product introduction:

- Technical resource for Marketing, including providing technical brief or info sheet of product.

- Conduct product training as part of professional education to regional trainer/ marketing team and key leaders of salesforce.

• Post-launch product management:

- Reassess industry movement and re-evaluate competitor actions.

- Analyse product performance, profit and loss, and identify actions required.

- Manage incremental improvement for existing products.

- Liaise with contract manufacturers for necessary formula-related matters.

- React to necessary corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) raised by Quality.

• Contribute for and implement standard procedures (in compliance with industrial standards and QMS requirements) for any product development and management activities or as assigned.
• Perform other duties and projects as necessary to meet company goals.

Requirements:

• Degree in Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Science or relevant.

• Preferably with some experience in product development/ management in the dietary supplement and health food industry.

• Product/ project management experience; planning & time management experience.

• Travelling is expected.

We are looking for a full-time pre-doctoral student to work as a Research Associate on INSEAD’s Singapore campus. This position is ideal for recent Master’s graduates looking to develop their research skills, with a view of applying to a PhD program. We are looking for someone who is good at managing data and in particular using software packages such as Stata, Python, and R. Ideally, they would also have experience working on a research project in the social sciences. The Research Associate core mission is to assist the school’s Strategy faculty in conducting research.

The Strategy Area at INSEAD is a global thought leader in studying the drivers of superior long-term organizational performance. Our research covers key topics such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, innovation, corporate culture, collaboration, and strategic leadership. We investigate how firms tackle challenges like growth constraints, post-merger integration, and shifting business models, and evaluate the effectiveness of their strategies. Our work employs a range of methodologies, including large-scale empirical analyses, field experiments, and qualitative or ethnographic approaches. The position is for one year, with the possibility of renewal at the end of the first year upon evaluation. It is a full-time position.

TASKS:

• Assist with quantitative research projects in the areas of strategy and management.
• Extract data from conventional databases (e.g., CRSP, Compustat, etc.) or hand-collect and clean data from company documents for analysis.
• Manage and clean data using software packages such as Stata, Python, and R. Proficiency in Stata is strongly preferred.
• Conduct statistical data analysis and assist with the interpretation, write-up, and dissemination of findings.
• Help with reviews of prior literature.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Finance, or closely related fields, with extensive prior training in econometrics.
• Excellent programming skills that can be applied in software packages such as Stata, Python, or R. Proficiency in Stata is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in written and oral English.

Qualifications

One or more of (but not limited to) the following:
