The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National University of Singapore is looking for researchers and engineers to develop next generation quantum computers based on trapped ions. There are multiple positions available at different levels with a diverse set of expertise. The aim of the program is to develop a full stack quantum processor based on Yb-Ba ions. The Laboratory of Applied Human Genetics at the National Cancer Centre Singapore is a multi-disciplinary laboratory with specific focus on peritoneal malignancies and sarcoma. The direction of our laboratory is to solve real world clinical problems via sound scientific translation. Since the conception of our laboratory 7 years ago, we have now set up three scientific pillars of Therapeutics, Companion Diagnostic and CAPTIVATE (Target Generation) pipeline. Currently, we are working towards a first-in-human therapeutic developed in our laboratory. We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Fellow to work with a team of researchers in the area of cancer therapy for advanced metastatic cancers. The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Undergraduate Studies Section, Dean's Office, Faculty of Science. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -

1) Faculty Co-ordinator for timetabling

• Keep abreast of Science Faculty Curriculum Committee (SFCC)/Board of Undergraduate Studies (BUS)/University Committee on Educational Policy (UCEP)/Senate approved proposals to facilitate planning and scheduling of classes and examinations.

Research Grant Administration:

• Provides effective administration of research grant call applications and management of awarded grants
• Assumes the role as SAP Concur reviewer and first-level approver and work with the Finance department to provide the fastest and smoothest approver flow.

Communication of Research Information

• Creates weekly research e-newsletter to communicate information on internal and external grant calls to faculty and research staff members.
• Develops content for the school’s website for research grants, projects and achievements.
• Develops Research-related publications (Research Brochures /Pamphlets)
• Assists with the organisation of the monthly WKWSCI Speaker Series (Research Talks).

Monitoring Research Budgets and Assets

• Monitor budgets and expenditures relating to research grants
• Monitor deadlines for the submission of expenditure reports as well as progress and final reports

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a recognised university
• Proven administrative skills including the ability to handle data with accuracy.
• Excellent reporting with some finance working knowledge would be essential.
• Preferably 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience. Prior working experience in an academic institution will be an advantage.
• Sound interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, word).
• Ability to do content management and creation of information on research (Website, social media and newsletters)
• Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn new skillsets.
