Job Description

• Oversee Projects Department daily operations. Collaborates with stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and estimated resources needed.
• Responsible for successful completion of all projects. Ensure that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Sales, Structural Design and Procurement Department in all project matters.
• Ensure timely delivery of project with satisfactory quality.
• Assist management in contractual and commercial matters in Projects.
• Assist management in cost minimization & profit maximization.
• Promotes a culture of teamwork, collaboration and success.
• Ensure preparation of Project Execution Plan, Project Scope of Work, Project Setup, Project Closeout and Variation Orders.
• Ensure clear and open communication with project team members and between project team and functional groups, the changes in scope of work and schedule are captured in the Variation Orders and the implementation of lessons learned.
• Manages the project team, internal and external customer relationships, and staffing of project team with competent persons from the functional groups. Communicates routinely to management, customers, project team members, actively soliciting and addressing customer and project team feedback.
• Manages the cost, schedule, safety, quality, and contractual requirements of the project through effective planning in accordance with company procedures.
• Applies basic understanding of company's business to improve project cost effectiveness, apply change management principles and improve project margin.
• Provide status updates regularly to management.
• Assist in business development efforts to create project proposal, estimates and schedules etc.
• Responsible for training, managing, and motivating the project team, as well as resolving team conflicts.
• Resolves technical and operational issues as required.
• Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project, including subcontractor monitoring.

Requirements

• Degree in structural / marine / naval architecture / civil / mechanical engineering
• Min 5 years of working experience in similar industry, including tracking and planning projects
• Good written and spoken English (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
• Experience in quality assurance and project management, preferably in the construction, marine, or offshore industry
• Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills, with the ability to adapt change and competing demands
• Able to plan and manage project assigned independently
• A problem solver and a team player
• Experience in leading, motivating and managing various project and team sizes
• Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

• Provide strategic leadership for the organization, aligning with the company's goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure the successful execution of projects and overall business growth.
• Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
• Efficiently manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Act as the primary point of contact with clients, ensuring effective communication and addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and secure future business opportunities.
• Handle all contractual issues related to projects, including review, negotiation, and interpretation of contract.
• Manage administrative tasks and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• At least 5 to 8 years experience in Management roles and Wholesale Trade.
• Good knowledge of the relevant policies, regulations and industry service specifications and management standards as well as import/export processes.
• Familiar with the work processes of each stage of management as well as quality management system.
• Basic financial management and cost control knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical, able to work independently, results-oriented, resourceful, and pro-active.
• Have a positive working mindset and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Good communication, coordination, organization and overall management skills, adhering to the customer-first and quality service management.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and supervise the day-to-day activities of all sections within the Front Office and other services rendered by other operational departments
• Responsible for the proper, efficient and profitable functioning of the hotel
• Ensure guests are attended to with promptness, courtesy and efficiency and that guest complaints are handled with tact and diplomacy
• Assist in checking in/out of guests. Assist to inspect rooms assigned to VIPs before their arrival. Meet and escort them to their rooms
• Check logbook for messages and follow-up actions upon commencement of shift. Check housekeeping discrepancy report; report any variance and take corrective actions
• Monitor room inventory closely to ensure maximum utilisation of rooms to generate higher revenue

Requirements:

• Diploma in any field, preferrably in Hospitality
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar capacity in hospitality industry
• Team player with positive attitude, enthusiasm and initiative
• Knowledge in Opera System
• Ability to lead team and drive results
