JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a person who is genuinely interested in the AML, KYC, and FCC space with the ability to research, interpret and advise our clients on their everchanging regulatory requirement needs from a Policy, Operations and Technology perspective. You will work on varied projects covering all areas of Risk and Compliance in Regulated Financial Institutions and in general risk areas for non-regulated companies in areas such as ABC, vendor/third party risk and enterprise risk management.

The Senior Consultant is responsible for:

· Reviewing, validating, or developing Compliance policies and procedures.

· Supporting application for payments and capital market license for clients

· Evaluating and recommending technology led solutions for risk management Adding valuable and creative suggestions to the proposal development process.

· Developing the ability to discuss industry trends and the related solutions.

· Supporting project management.

REQUIRED GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

· up to 4 years’ experience in Consulting or the Financial Services Industry.

· Strong analytical skills; creative problem solving; self-starter; previous project management experience.

· Strong interpersonal skills to interact in team environment and foster client relationships.

· High degree of business ethics and understanding of the need to safeguard highly sensitive confidential information.

· Excellent written communication skills including the creation of policies and procedures.

· Must be able to maintain professional demeanor and execute effectively in times of high stress.

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS

· Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent.

· (Basic) knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management.

· (Basic) knowledge of banking, payments, insurance and/or asset management operations and products and the regulations affecting them.

· (Basic) knowledge of Next Generation Regulatory Technology and Innovation used by Financial Services sector.

· “Big 4” or other leading consulting experience preferred

Location: Toa Payoh

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am to 6pm

You will support the Finance Shared Services team and will report to one of the General Accounting/Fixed Assets team lead.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve journal entries and maintain recurring journals
• Review and approve interface journals for Payroll and related expenses
• Generate Currency Revaluations
• Review bank reconciliation and monthly GL audit schedules
• Review draft Corporate Tax returns for submission to Finance Business Partners (BP)
• Review quarterly GST report for submission to Finance BP and perform GST Net Receivable / Payable adjustment journal upon submission of GST return
• Review and finalize closing and reconciliation for financial reporting
• Review and approve FA transactions - review monthly report for depreciation of assets; approve asset acquisition, transfer of asset under construction to fixed asset, asset disposal, write off and transfer
• Review and ensure that FA schedules tally with GL balance
• Prepare revaluation gains / losses journals
• Review draft Financial Statements and Notes to Financial Statements before submission to Finance BP
• Review XBRL and submit to Corporate Secretariat for filing to ACRA
• Participate in any other tasks/projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in computerised accounting environment (supervisory/reviewing experience is an advantage)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAP
• Integrity and accounting professionalism
• A resourceful, analytical and self-motivated mindset

Global Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Audit Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

• Delivery of audits, some major and/or highly complex, which provide internal customers and stakeholders with critical assessments of the HSBC governance, risk and internal control frameworks
• Ensuring that audit assignments are completed in a timely and efficient manner with due respect to the standards established by GIA, industry best practices and the relevant risk and regulatory environment
• Providing specialist professional advice on audit findings and recommendations, thus ensuring that they are both fully understood and properly implemented by management
• Assisting in the completion of Continuous Monitoring activities to enhance GIA’s capability to provide effective and efficient assurance across the enterprise
• Consult with stakeholders to determine data requirements and conduct analysis to detect trends and anomalies
• Maintain and enhance stakeholder relationships through regular bilateral meetings, appropriate challenge in business risk governance forums, and keeping in touch with business, regulatory and industry developments

Qualifications

• 8-10 years’ relevant work experience in the Financial Services Sector, consultancy, and internal or external audit will be considered
• Knowledgeable about Financial Services’ Business, Functional, and Regulatory environment, including developing trends, risks, controls, and expectations
• An analytical thinker who is confident approaching areas outside of your expertise, getting to the heart of the key features and aspects quickly
• A good communicator, verbally and in writing, and able to present and influence, even when delivering difficult messages to stakeholders
• A professional with experience working in a dynamic, complex and ambiguous environment, with achievements in a relevant business or function, such as an audit function, finance, risk management, compliance, or business management
• Dedicated to continually improving your own skills, which could be demonstrated by holding relevant professional qualifications such as in accountancy, finance or risk management, and keeping up-to-date with developments in the banking industry markets and regulations
• Good at managing multiple competing priorities on different concurrent projects, and able to ensure delivery of objectives through analysis of options and coming to pragmatic decisions
• A team player, with a desire to help the team as a whole to achieve its objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Assist to monitor daily alerts handling and documentation activities of the team and STR filing
• Review/ follow up on investigation reports conducted by analyst for completeness and timeliness
• Communicate with relevant business units in the investigation of cases and provide transaction monitoring advisory
• Review and clearance of sanctions alerts and escalations relating to trade finance transactions
• Conduct periodic sample checks and prepare reports on the quality of alerts clearance and documentation with proposals for improvement
• Review of TM threshold/ parameters
• Providing training/guidance to the analysts and business units
• Handling of queries from MAS, auditors and other external parties
• Conduct gap analysis on new/existing MAS Notices, Guidelines, Circulars

• Assume as the covering officer for TM Team Lead when required

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Business/related discipline and above
• At least 4 years experience in banking industry and 3 years in Transaction Monitoring

  fund flows relating to banking industry.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Develop winning strategy by prospecting specific industries with high spending potential
