Job Description – Project Manager

Responsibilities

- To be responsible for the smooth completion of the assigned project, in terms of both administrative and operational aspects

- To attend site meetings with the Main-Contractor and/or Sub-Contractor(s) whenever necessary with regards to any site issues, and to update our own construction team

- To make sure site work progress follows the Schedule given by the Main-Contractor

- To work closely with main-office staff to prepare monthly Progress Claims, Payment Certificates, or the like.

- Prepare Minutes of Meetings for all joint meetings held with Main-Contractors, Sub-Contractors, or site personnel.

- To advise both Main-Contractor and Sub-Contractor personnel on technical knowledge pertaining to site works (E.g. Reference lines, datum lines, etc).

- To study shop-drawings and make sure the project team has the latest set

- To manage and review Sub-Contractor(s) and their monthly performance.

- To prepare Method of Statement as and when necessary, for specific works.

- To manage and account for all materials & equipment delivered to site

- To prepare and manage worker Organizational Chart for both the Company’s workers and Supply Worker alike.

- To prepare and manage site Tools List. Any material or tools left on site premises must be accounted for at all times.

- To manage workers’ time cards. Must make sure workers, especially supply workers, do not work unnecessary overtime. Any overtime works must be first approved by the Managing Director before commencement.

- To prepare and manage the site tools sign-in/out list.

- Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Managing Director.

Requirements

- Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering or similar course

- Has at least 5 years of experience in Singapore in the related field

- Has experience working for LTA projects / high-rise buildings

- Able to read and understand construction drawings

Department Overview:

Epworth HomeSweetHome was started in 2013 in partnership with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) as the first Therapeutic Group Home in Singapore. The Home provides stay-in treatment for children between the ages of 7 to 12 years old who have experienced abuse. We use the Trauma System Therapy (TST) treatment model to help children with complex trauma and aggressive behaviour.

Job Description & Requirements

1. Claim Submissions and Follow-up:

Claim submissions and associated works in accordance with the established claim procedures, following up with it till issuance of Invoice.

2. Variation Orders (VO):

Handle VO submissions and notifications, Gather necessary documentation from the project team, and maintain up-to-date records related to VOs.

3. Budget Updates and Procedures:

Update the Budget and relevant procedures in the internal software (NAV system) to facilitate the procurement team to fulfill the Project team's request.

4. Client and Stakeholder Communication:

Communicate effectively to manage expectations and foster positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

5. Record Keeping:

Maintain contemporary records for various purposes such as Extensions of Time (EOT).

6. Reporting and Documentation:

Reporting and Documentation - Maintain accurate records of project costs, payments, and contractual agreements, VOs details for several purposes including audit and compliance.

7. Handling Sub-Contractors, suppliers:

Evaluate and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, Assess sub-contract claims and issue Sub-con payment certificates.

8. Assistance to Contract Manager:

Assist Contract Manager in preparing the reports to senior management and finance regarding project progress and financial status and update it time to time.

9. Contractual Claims and Disputes:

Aid in detailing contractual claims and disputes associated with the projects involving

10. Project Cost Monitoring and Control:

Monitor and control project costs against agreed budgets.

11. Final Account procedures:

Follow the final account procedures of Client as well as Sub-con while closing a project

12. Support for Commercial and Other Departments:

Support commercial and other departments with related work as required.

13. Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Job Specification

• Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, methods and procedures
• Accuracy in cost estimation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English
• Proficient in relevant software (e.g.MS Excel, Word)
• Able to contribute individually as well as a team

Reporting to the Centre Manager, the Assistant Senior Social Worker (ASSW) will be responsible for the following key areas:

Requirements

• Possess a degree in social work.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in managing a centre or facility
• Fully conversant in English and Mandarin, or any 2nd and 3rd language will be an advantage due to clients being seniors.
• Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Outgoing, energetic, self-motivated independent worker
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Application
• Must be a good team-player, with a passion to work with seniors

Assessment & Intervention

1. Conduct Assessment and Intervention on Sensory Issues

2. Develop Programmes to intervene students with severe handwriting or hand function difficulties

3. Conduct Assessment on Vocational Skills with the outcome to increase productivity through adapting to the environment and teaching skills

4. Be part of the multidisciplinary team to assess and intervene for complex challenging behaviors

Program Planning & Delivery

• Plan and deliver programmes for students with Autism Spectrum in the area of Life Readiness skills (e.g. sensory, fine motor skills, hand writing skills, work skills)
• Adapts school and classroom environment, tools and materials (adaptive devices or equipment) for the purpose of improving students’ functioning and facilitating students access to curricular and instructional activities as well as safety considerations
• Implement school-wide initiatives on sensory supports for students
• Plan and Co-ordinate among key stakeholders to review/revise students' occupational therapy goals, develop plans for services and make recommendations to implement goals
• Evaluate progress and outcomes using selected outcome measures at regular intervals

Training & Coaching

• Provide training, consultation, and instruction to teachers on the use of adaptive devices and equipment for the purpose of ensuring such devices are used appropriately and optimal benefits are achieved
• Plan and deliver training on ASD related topics to stake holders
• Plan induction and orientation for new OTs
• Coach and develop OTs
• Supervise OTs eligible for registration with Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore to be a Full Registrant

Management and Service Operations

• Monitor individual agreed KPIs for OT service provision.
• Lead with the team in the development of program, policies & procedures to promote best practice in OT service provision by collaborating with other allied health professionals
• Participate in research projects to contribute to evidence-based practice
• Recommend procurement and monitor utilization of equipment and resource material
• Conduct performance reviews of OTs
• Any other responsibilities as required by your Supervisor

You should possess the following:

• Registered OT with the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore as Full Registrant
• Preferably have attained a Supervision certificate
• At least 5-7 years of relevant working experience in the same or related field including assessment, intervention and teaching
• Desire to learn about Autism and the passion to serve the autism community and their families
• Excellent collaborative skills

Assessment and Intervention

• Conduct speech/language assessment for complex cases and plan for intervention
• Communication level of students and plan for intervention

Program Planning & Delivery

• Plans for intervention in 1:1/small group
• Implements school-wide initiatives on Alternative/Augmentative Communication (AAC) supports for students with the development team
• Makes necessary referrals to external speech-language therapy services when intervention needs exceed classroom intervention scope
• Researches resources and methods (e.g. intervention and treatment techniques, assessment tools and methods, community resources, etc.) for the purpose of determining the appropriate approach for addressing student's functional goals

Training & Coaching

• Coach educators on communication screening of students
• Provides AAC consultation, training, and coaching to educators on the use of alternative/augmentative communication (AAC)supports
• Plan and deliver training on language & communication topics related to autism
• Plan induction and orientation for new SLTs
• Coach and develop Speech and Language Therapist
• Supervise SLT eligible for registration with Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore to be a Full Registrant

Management and Service Operations

• Collaborate in the development of best practices of service provision with other allied health professionals

• Lead and manage the full spectrum of engineering management, design conceptualisation, and technical support to the projects and tenders.
• Responsible for product design and development and customised solution of tank farms, plant engineering, building infrastructure, etc
• Achieves operational objectives by managing engineering resources, developing inhouse capabilities, resolving technical problems
• Ensure design meet relevant codes, compliance requirements and effective engineering practices
• Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements & preparing an engineering budget

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline.
• Must have at least 5 years of post-graduate experience in project management
• Ability to handle Projects independently.
• Ability to display initiative in execution of tasks and being pro-active in the delivery of tasks
• Dealing professionally in managing tasks and consistently meet tight deadlines
