We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Manager/Manager to join the Museum Planning and Audience Engagement Team.

In this full-time role, the candidate will be responsible for co-creating and implementing cutting edge programmes and festivals to engage a broad-based audience with visual art through, participatory and collaborative approaches.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES but not limited to the below:

• Assist programme and festival team leads to plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate programmes and festivals which are relevant and effective in engaging a broad-based audience with visual art through participatory and collaborative approaches, that also considers the innovative use of technology and its deployment in creating the experience.
• Assist programme and festival team leads to adapt textual and visual content for broad-based audience groups, as well as different audience groups and publicity platforms, e.g. website, print collateral, social media, etc.
• To work with other internal divisions such as the Learning, Curatorial, Partnership Development and Marketing teams to provide content to maximise opportunities for programme content development, partnership and promotion respectively.
• To work closely with the Gallery’s internal Museum Research team from the onset to develop and define evidence-based impact measures and an evaluation plan to assess the efficacy of various modes of engagement, and monitor/track the on-going evaluation of the programmes and services and implement improvements as necessary. To conduct regular reporting and sharing of key observations and learning points internally.
• To assist programme and festival team leads in building a schedule of programme and festival engagements throughout the year, liaising with venue partners on the use of sites and other logistical matters.

• At least 4 years of relevant work experience in an arts-related portfolio, including designing audience-centred content and public programmes, including children and family friendly exhibitions and programmes.
• Keen interest in arts-based public engagement and producing accessible, inclusive art experiences for a wider spectrum of audiences, especially those new to visual arts, children and families.
• Must possess cultural sensitivity and understanding for diverse communities.
• Have experiences with the processes required to plan, develop and present engaging arts experiences in public spaces, including non-traditional arts spaces.

• Take responsibility to ensure all third-party inspections (SIRE, CDI, PSC, etc.) are passed with a minimum number of observations. Take the necessary precautions and/or arrange for the necessary support to ensure that all vessels stay operational and attractive. Never compromise safety and the environment. To ensure that each voyage is affected safely, efficiently, and with the minimum impact on the environment.
• Ensure that the Fleet Cell and Vessels (along with Superintendents) are adequately and competently staffed with requisite experience. Ensure timely and appropriate support is provided to the Cell from other Internal Services. Immediately raise concern if there is a lack of support.
• Responsible for approving the Fleet Cell’s annual Vessel Operating Budgets prior to submission to the client in accordance with their budget timetable. Ensure that the Customers are kept updated on all operational and financial parameters and ensure that a 12-month rolling OPEX estimate is provided for each vessel each month. Work with the team on board and ashore to ensure that the Customer is fully up to date at all times.
