What You Would Get To Do

The Senior Event Manager will consistently deliver exceptional service to our client through excellent operational and logistical facilities management. This position will be responsible for managing, supporting and/or executing the coordination of various events within the client’s meeting spaces. The role requires strong operational understanding and practical experience in event logistics and venue management.
Along with other FIRST team members, the Senior Event Manager will represent the FIRST Solutions brand on-site within a well-known tech company. In this role you’ll work with internal teams to coordinate the logistical needs of the event space. This role will report directly into the Team Lead.

Your Contributions

• Provides consultative ‘one stop shop’ planning support for Event Hosts to ensure exemplary event experience

• Supervise site labor and subcontractors, resolving construction issues as they arise.
• Oversee quality control, safety, and EHS practices on-site, identifying high-risk activities before construction and approving Method Statements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, recognized by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in LTA, roadworks, MRT, and viaduct projects.

1. Partner Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Community Care Partners to understand Partner’s needs and aspiration.
• Be the primary point of contact and resource person to support Partners to navigate policies, schemes, and regulations in their provision of community care services (e.g. Centre-based Care, Home Care and/or Nursing Home).
• Support Partners on operations-related matters, including implementation of services / initiatives, compliance with licensing and service requirements, and co-creation of solutions.
  

2. Partners Development and Growth

• Support capacity development and growth of Partners in their provision of community care services.
  Assist with driving improvement in operational processes as well as delivery of care services
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate Partner’s participation in programmes and initiatives that will support their strategic growth
• Maintain oversight of Partner’s implementation plan, progress and depository of key information
  

Job Requirements:

The Project Manager is a member of the Projects team and reports to the assigned Director of Projects. Key responsibilities include:

1. Support end-to-end development, scoping work packages across technical, economic and safety aspects of the projects.

2. Project planning and initiation:

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Identify project resources and assign tasks.

3. Technical Review:

• Review and evaluate technical reports, proposals, and documentation for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with project objectives.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment with project goals and industry standards.
• Provide actionable feedback on technical content to improve overall project quality.

4. Execution and monitoring:

• Lead cross-functional teams to execute project plans and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure project milestones are achieved within deadlines and budgets.
• Visit operation sites or vessels as required to oversee project progress, ensure safety and compliance, and address on-site challenges (may involve short-term stays).

5. Stakeholder management:

• Act as the main point of contact between clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, updates, minutes of meeting and any changes effectively to all stakeholders.
• Gather feedback and incorporate it into project plans as necessary.

6. Risk management:

• Identify and manage project risks and issues.
• Develop contingency plans and proactively address challenges.
• Escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

7. Quality assurance:

• Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
• Implement and enforce project management methodologies and best practices.

8. Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare regular progress reports, including status updates, financial summaries, and risk assessments.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation for future reference and audits.

GCMD employs a number of project managers on the different projects that it has launched. This specific hire will focus primarily on ammonia initiatives. Thus, familiarity and experience with marine fuels and ammonia handling is a plus.

Qualifications, skills and experience

• Diploma or a degree from recognised institute of higher learning in Science, Engineering, or Maritime Studies
• More than 5 years of working experience with at least 3 years in project management, preferably in the maritime, or energy sector
• Strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Productiv, ClickUp).
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
