Role Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial health of Unlocking ADHD, ensuring effective budgeting, compliance with non-profit regulations, and efficient use of financial resources to support our mission. This role includes overseeing all financial transactions, including donations, receipts, and grants, ensuring compliance with Singapore’s financial regulations, including those related to Institutions of a Public Character (IPC). The Finance Manager will also collaborate closely with the Treasurer from the Board of Directors to ensure sound financial governance and strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Management & Planning:

D. Accounting & Bookkeeping:

• Oversee daily financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the organization’s accounting software.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with Singapore accounting standards for non-profits.

E. Governance & Risk Management:

• Maintain and improve internal financial controls and policies to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure compliance with best practices in financial management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with experience in the IPC charity highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Singapore’s charity financial regulations, including the requirements for IPC status.

• Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/ Senior Project Manager (SPM)/ Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract
• Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on site quality and safety issues.

Requirements

• Accredited with Resident Engineer certification under Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore
• Minimum 10 years of experience , of which at least 8 years in major construction works in buildings, services laying and testing and commissioning
• A Mechanical and Electrical Engineering degree recognised by the PEB of Singapore
• Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report
• Licensed electrical worker and licensed plumber are preferred
