Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Assisting hotel guests in making hotel reservations, modifying or cancelling room bookings
• Processing hotel room reservations through various channels such as phone, email and online platforms etc
• Addressing guest concerns and providing information about hotel services, amenities and policies
• Upselling of additional services such as dining options, room upgrades etc
• Handling all internal and external guest enquiries promptly with minimal delay, directing them to the correct parties with which they wish to speak to and provide information where necessary
• Positively deal with and learn from customers’ complaints and comments with follow-up and feedback to the related Call Centre Manager / Duty Manager
• Follow-up with guests to ensure satisfaction with problem resolution (service recovery)
• Ensuring all guest requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively
• Handling and delivering all messages in a private and confidential manner, ensuring privacy for guests and ensure that the messages are received and delivered clearly, accurately and in a timely manner
• Coordinating with relevant departments to ensure guest request is followed-up and ensures follow-up procedures are maintained
• Ensuring timely wake-up call services for hotel guests
• Handling payment transactions and ensuring compliance with payment policies
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as requested by the Call Centre Manager

Summary

This position is responsible for the entire credit granting process, bill collection, including the consistent application of a credit policy. Conducts periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.

Job Responsibilities

Credit applications:

· Process credit applications within 10 working days, ensuring that clients are notified promptly and professionally. The credit worthiness of all applicants is formally checked and approval must be received from the Director of Finance.

· Review the credit worthiness of all existing non-Accor approved clients on a yearly basis.

City Ledger:

· Ensure all invoices / statements are issued on a timely basis.

· Monitor the prompt follow-up of all overdue accounts and minimize the recovery delay.

· Monitors the special billing arrangements for groups and conventions as required to ensure that postings are in line with customer requirements.

· Monitor and pursue collection of overdue accounts.

· Review city ledger daily for correct postings of charges and take corrective action where necessary.

· Review bad debts listing monthly to prepare collectability analysis for monthly provision for doubtful debts.

· Respond to and resolve account queries in conjunction with accounts receivable.

· Review provision, write-offs and other adjustments immediately prior to month end.

· Implement effective inquiry response procedure for guests and management.

· Ensure all travel agent commissions are timely processed and paid.

· Report on monthly accounts receivable ageing analysis and detailed accounts’ ledgers.

· Conduct credit meetings at least once a month, with relevant highlighting monthly performance, bad debts, staff accounts outstanding and discuss any accounts causing concern and follow up.

· Attend Credit Managers meetings to keep up to date knowledge of credit risks.

· Appropriately manage all delinquent accounts, liaising with debt collectors where needed.

· Review and recommend accounts to be written off, providing appropriate documentation.

Guest Ledger and liaison with Front Office:

· Liaise between the Finance Department and the Front Office.

· Ensure PX and PM accounts are checked on daily basis and transferred to city ledger within 48hrs from the departure date.

· Review the Advance Deposit ledger to ensure all the balances are either current or for future date.

· Inform the Front Office Manager of any deviations from policy by Duty Managers, or Front Office Agents that may come to his/ her attention.

· Ensure guest refunds are processed in a timely manner as per the hotel policy; with all supporting paperwork and required authorizations.

Commercial Responsibilities

· To keep closed contact with hotel debtors i.e. Travel Agents, Airlines, Corporate clients and Individuals.

Summary

This position is responsible for directing, monitoring, and supervising the day-to-day activities of all sections within the Front Office and other operational departments of the Hotel, including the business center. The Duty Manager ensures smooth operations and customer service satisfaction in line with the established standards and policies of the Hotel.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for ensuring the proper, efficient, and profitable functioning of the Hotel.

2. Supervise sections in the Front Office, including reception, cashier, telephone, reservation, and baggage services. Monitor staff members’ conduct and job performance and to project a positive corporate image to guests.

3. Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to guests and handle guest complaints with tact and diplomacy. Assist in guest check-ins and check-outs.

4. Assist in inspecting rooms assigned to VIPs before their arrival, escort VIPs to their rooms and ensure complimentary amenities are provided. Inform relevant departments about VIPs’ arrival.

5. Check the Logbook for messages and follow up actions at the beginning of each shift. Issue keys to authorized personnel only and initiate correspondence regarding enquiries, reservations, and complaints. Monitor housekeeping discrepancy reports and take corrective actions when necessary.

6. Handle security-related matters, such as directing guests reporting incidents or theft and addressing guest conduct issues with the Security Department.

7. Maintain the cash float amount according to expected occupancy. Authorize rate and room changes, paid outs, cash advances, and acceptance of cheques following procedures and credit policies.

8. Take charge of training all reception staff members, include planning, organizing and conducting on-the-job training.

9. Conduct spot checks on outlets in the absence of the Outlet Manager.

10. Monitor room inventory closely to maximize room utilization and generate higher revenue. Collaborate with Sales to optimize revenue and occupancy from group allotments.

11. Take on the responsibility of evacuating staff members and guests during a fire in the absence of the Safety & Fire Manager. Attend CERT training as required by law and regulations.

Requirements

1. Minimum a Diploma holder with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.

2. Demonstrated strong business acumen, effective leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving results with teams.

What a Senior Manager – Insights & Analytics, Asia Pacific does at Visa:

This Sr Mgr role reports to the Head of Marketing Analytics for AP and will operate within the Marketing Measurement practice area with a focus on research and survey-based measurement deploying varied tools & solutions and developing and running Marketing Measurement for Visa.  This role will support AP Marketing function with relevant insights for campaign briefs & creative development, measurement of marketing investment impact on the business & brand in short term as well as long term using research methods and advanced analysis techniques.  The incumbent will manage & provide mentorship to a junior member of the team, training them to operationalize a best-in-class campaign & brand tracking program and coaching how to uncover insights to optimize marketing effectiveness.
