• Manage the quality assurance/quality control function on-site on various project phases.

Job Summary

Fugro Satellite Positioning has an immediate opening in the Singapore office for a Network Engineer. This position, as part of a global team, is responsible for implementing and managing a reliable and secure Fugro Data Network in support of real-time Global Navigation Satellite System services.

This will involve hardware and software configuration, monitoring and proactively supporting the daily operation of our Fugro Data Network, including Network Control Center (NCC), Remote sites and Satellite uplink sites.

This role works with the Singapore Network Control Centre personnel and in close collaboration with the USA Network Control Center and additional Fugro Satellite Positioning operational and development personnel worldwide in support of our Global infrastructure.

About the Role:

• Configure and update local/remote routers, install, configure and update software, security patches, licensing and virus scanners on local and remote systems
• Install and reconfigure NCC cabling and hardware and support remote site hardware installation and reconfiguration.
• Monitor Network performance and address issues as appropriate to maintain security and operational capability
• Coordinate planned downtime with Network Operations Manager and/or Operational staff to minimise customer impact
• Determine cause for whole or partial system and/or network downtime and implement solutions to improve availability

Summary

The Team Lead will be responsible to the Head of Learning & Development for all coordination and conduct of functional training programs, management of standards and procedures for operations in his/her assigned business unit. The incumbent is responsible for the review, formulation and implementation of training plans and programs for in-house, industry, other regulatory courses for in order to achieve consistent, high quality service delivery for the respective business units.

Duties and Responsibilities

▪ Oversee all training in areas of development and delivery, and assessment and evaluation, and planning and communication in his/her business unit.

▪ Identify and assess the training needs of the job roles in consultation with stakeholders and in collaboration with the Curriculum Developer in his/her business unit.

▪ Design develops and review training and assessment programs/materials in collaboration with the curriculum developer in his/her business unit.

▪ Assess his/her training team members’ (comprising Trainers, Line Trainers and On-Job Trainers) training competencies and skills, performance and productivity to identify areas of development and growth.

▪ Coach his/her training team members to ensure consistent high standards and quality in training delivery.

▪ Establish effective working relationships and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.

▪ Oversee evaluations of all training programs in his/her business unit and recommend strategies for continuous improvements.

▪ Conduct in-house training and briefing to share best practices as required and ensure compliance to regulatory training requirements for operations in his/her business unit.

▪ Keep abreast of industry training trends, developments, and best practices, and recommending new teaching/learning methodologies.

The Technical Support Engineering II is responsible for supporting Field Service Engineers and Customers through the different communication channels adopted.

Strive to resolve difficult problems relating to product deficiencies or user errors within the shortest time.

This role is tasked with maintaining product knowledge within the Tech Support group to manage escalated technical support requests.

Key Job Accountabilities:

· Liaison with customer reps on documentation procedures including certification and maintenance release.

· Ensure all aircraft have valid documents such as Certificate of Registration, Certificate Of Airworthiness, Radio License, Insurance Certificate, etc as applicable.
