As a Project Manager you will be part of the Customer Success (CS) department. We undertake exciting projects at top-tier banks all over the world to implement our online banking solutions.
Your task is to manage projects all around the world and be a bridge between Backbase internal teams and our clients.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with regulatory bodies like customs, export control, and tax authorities in the region. Maintains proper documentation and procedures as per regulations.
• Reviews internal controls, develops processes, and manages compliance audits. Implements corrective action plans and suggests process enhancements to address compliance gaps.
• Assists in creating and enforcing localized policies and procedures for import and export compliance. Promotes Company-wide awareness of these requirements.
• Develops business processes to mitigate compliance risks, focusing on continuous improvements for efficiency and customer service.
• Monitors and reports KPIs and metrics to senior management, providing daily reports on import and export compliance in the region.
• Sets budgets, operational strategies, and priorities for the assigned area.
• Manages projects related to import and export compliance, defining scope, budget, schedule, and project risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in International Business, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management. Possession of a customs broker license.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in trade compliance, including at least 5 years in a management role and dealing with trade compliance across multiple countries or in a global setting.
• Expert knowledge of import and export regulations in the region, covering areas
• Ability to navigate and comply with various Government Agency requirements
• Proficiency in global trade management software and systems, with experience in implementing and expanding trade automation tools, including but not limited to SAP-GTS.
• Track record of writing and submitting binding rulings, as well as designing and implementing value-added import/export policies and processes.
• Experience in conducting audits and managing disclosure practices.
