• Ensure Technicians adhere to the written procedures while performing tests;
• Maintain preventive maintenance, periodic verification, standardization or calibration of departmental test equipment;
• Maintain and monitor long-term quality indicators such as control charts;
• Advise calibration points & degree of accuracy and precision required prior to calibration of departmental test equipment;
• Review of calibration certificates for errors/correction factors to be applied during operations, and measurement uncertainty to update uncertainty budget table.

4) Under heavy load, assist with the execution of tests

Learning & Development:

1) Reach the expected competency level for departmental tests according to Company policy.

2) Set up a comprehensive training syllabus to properly deliver structured training on different standard test methods

3) Deliver practical training to Technicians by referring to written procedures

4) Draft PTS Test Procedures & periodic update of existing PT Test Procedures annually & debrief/communicate summary of changes to the respective team members.

Quality Assurance:

1) Comply with quality regulations set by the Company, including following PTS Test Procedures when carrying out tests.

2) Execute method development, method validation & verification.

3) Report to seniors on departmental non-conforming work.

Safety:

1) Comply with safety & health regulations set by the Company.

2) Oversee the stock-taking of safety equipment (PPE) in the department, including loan units for visitors (if applicable).

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Material Science or relevant Engineering/ Science Field with 1 year of relevant experience

Job Description:

• Documentation creation and conversion to Batam standards;
• Drive the development and design transfer for Analytical Lighting products from Salem to Batam, working with Cambridge and Salem counterparts interfacing with Batam Manufacturing team to ensure successful transfer, ultimately leading to mass production in Batam;
• Coordinate and prioritize equipment transfers/CAPEX requirements to ensure timely production transfers as required;
• Provide technical leadership to manage & realize product/process transfer timeline and critical paths to meet transfer objective and target;
• Work with Cambridge/Salem/Batam Manufacturing teams to review process capability and transfer plan;
• 50% travel (Batam, 40%, Cambridge/Salem 10%) will be required during this phase to kick off the production transfers;

Performing daily inspection on equipment to look out for anomalies and having good documentation on various records and reports for the maintenance operation. Maintenance

· Ensure the plant day-to-day operation is functional at its optimum level.

· Assist the E&I Engineer and lead a team of skilled worker in the maintenance and expeditious repair of the plant’s equipment.

· Handling distributed control system and instruments in the plant and perform daily inspection on equipment.

· Performing scheduled maintenance such as preventive and predictive programs of the plant equipment and machinery

· Analyze breakdowns, diagnose faults, and execute the required rectification process.

· Take part in plant overhaul activities.

· Ensure close coordination with various parties for maintenance activities.

· To ensure that equipment maintenance & service procedures and programs are effectively implemented consistent with sound engineering practices.
