We’re seeking a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) for to work alongside our Hybrid Cloud Providers in the ASEAN region. You will have a deep understanding of Microsoft Cloud Solutions, specifically Azure.
Across ASEAN there are several Datacentre Optimisation Agreements (DCO) that are framework agreements that support hosting partners to transform into hybrid partners using Microsoft’s Cloud and AI solutions. Part of your role will be to support in the identification of improvement areas to accelerate Microsoft Cloud growth in these partners.
Potential new partners have been identified across ASEAN for a Hybrid Cloud Partnership agreement. Your role will be to support the area PDMs to create and execute these agreements with assistance from Global Channel Sales Hybrid Cloud Centre of Excellence (COE) team in the US.
Microsoft Azure VMware Solution (AVS) offers seamless migration of on-premises VMware workloads to Azure, enabling innovation with Azure services and predictable costs. There is a huge opportunity for AVS in ASEAN and this will be another focus area for this role, supporting the Hybrid Cloud Partners in migrating these workloads into AVS.

Responsibilities
Enablement Execution:
- Lead and/or contribute to the delivery of workshops, bootcamps, and trainings necessary to build partners’ technical skills.
Technical Engagement:
- Lead deep technical engagements, including Briefings, Proof of Concepts, Architectural Design Sessions and Hackathons.
Best Practice Sharing:
- Collaborate with Microsoft’s Engineering teams to generate technical insight and enable best practices sharing.
Solution Development:
- Aid partners to develop and implement high quality solutions and/or services leveraging Microsoft’s latest technologies.
Evangelism:
- Evangelize partners’ practices and solutions in customers’ implementations via Technical briefings and Architecture Review Sessions.
Tech Sales:
- Enable partners on technical pre-sales skills while supporting initial partners’ wins and work to unblock technical issues.
Partner Development and Growth:
- You will support the Partner Development Managers with developing and executing a strategic and tactical partner business plan aligned with Microsoft goals and the Hybrid Cloud Providers’ business objectives to drive mutual growth in Azure.
- You will promote AI cloud consumption and digital transformation; plans will consider short and long-term goals and performance expectations aligned with partner needs and capabilities.
Partner Sales and Acceleration:
- You will facilitate collaboration between partner and Microsoft Partner and Customer Account sales teams to overcome obstacles, compete, and create proposals to meet consumption and revenue targets.
- You will work with your partner on top opportunities following the Microsoft sales methodology and prioritize transactions through marketplace, where possible.
Partner performance and Impact:
- You will be responsible for your partners’ performance with Microsoft and accountable for keeping a regular rhythm of connection with executive, sales and delivery teams to identify and resolve blockers in execution, and to accelerate performance.
- You will drive adoption, usage and performance of programs and investments that contribute to sales and consumption. You will be responsible for the correction of errors plan when execution is below expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of building deep technical sales relationships with CXOs and practice building executives in ISV, MSP, CD and SIs.
- Ability to solve Partner problems and unblock technical issues, leveraging internal and/or external resources.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Cloud Solution Area products and services, and knowledge of market business environment
- 6-10+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales, technology solutions/practice development, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications required
