technology curricula to children aged 4-12. It started operations in Singapore in 2007 and
since then, we have developed applied-technology curricula for children in both academic

Position Summary:

As a member of staff with Special Olympics Asia Pacific, your role as Senior Manager, Sports & Competitions is to establish good quality sports programmes for people with intellectual disabilities across the Asia Pacific region through Special Olympics country programs. You will need to build a working knowledge of sports delivery as it relates to our 35 country programs and support the design and delivery of activities, events, partnerships, and projects that allow Special Olympics and disability sport to flourish in each country. Unleash The Roar! (UTR) is about building the Singapore football ecosystem that will serve to inspire and unite the nation. Co-led by SportSG and the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), it is about the journey that will establish football as a sport with high participation, high performance regionally and internationally, and an economically viable professional career.

The National Development Centre (NDC), under the supervision of FAS, aims to develop future Singapore National Team players who will not only represent Singapore but also raise the level of our National Teams. Players attending the UTR! NDC will train regularly and in addition, represent their clubs in the Singapore Youth League. The newly developed NDC at Kallang Football Hub is expected to be ready in early 2024.

In this role, you will work closely with the Head Coaches and all relevant UTR! staff to optimise the NDC players’ performance and development. For the Senior Performance Coach, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing the physical performance pathway and sport science support in consultation with the FAS Head of Football Science and Medicine (FSAM).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement the NDC performance and sport science program that focuses on individual athletic development.
• Implement strength and conditioning sessions for individual players and assigned NDC teams.
• Lead the team’s physical preparation and sport science support during training and match days.
• Collate all relevant subjective and objective data (including GPS) and report findings to all relevant staff, to help with load monitoring and decision-making.
• Responsible for performance testing and player profiling, including growth and maturation, physical profiling, wellness, and workload monitoring.
• Work collaboratively with other UTR! sport science and medicine staff on injury prevention and rehabilitationprograms.
• For the Senior Performance Coach, you will work closely with the technical coaches and other UTR! sport scientists to lead and implement Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) programs for all NDC players, to achieve optimal technical, tactical and physical outcomes. You will perform a leading role to develop,implement and operationalise the use of technologies (including GPS, video and Athlete Monitoring System) for the NDC teams. You will ensure continuity and alignment of player monitoring and performance plans between the NDC and Singapore National Teams.

Requirements

• BSc in sport science, strength & conditioning or equivalent
• Experience of working in elite football academy set-up (minimum two years)
• Post-graduate qualification in sportscience, strength & conditioning or equivalent (preferred for Senior position)
• Minimum 4 years’ experience of working full-time in elite youth setup (preferred for Senior position)
• Fitness/strength & conditioning accreditation (NSCA, ASCA, UKSCA,AFC Fitness Level 2, or equivalent)
• Competent with the use of sports technology to enhance physical development and performance
• Experience in delivering/contributing to injury rehabilitation/return to play programs
• Experience in testing and monitoring maturation in young athletes
• Good interpersonal, oral and written (English) communication skills
• Good information technology and digital skills
• First aid and CPR/AED certified
• Flexible to work long hours and on evenings and weekends

Sports Enrichment Trainer (Full-Time / Part-time / Weekends)
