The Fire Engineer will be working in a specialist team of experienced engineers covering a broad range of skills relating to the fire industry. This role should have completed fire engineering OR related tertiary studies or a professional with a skill that complements fire engineering that are able to bring knowledge of your discipline and the team.
The Opportunity
- Involve in all types of fire engineering design projects, providing detailed technical input across abroad range of projects within the fire engineering business and related areas.
- Undertake the design, engineering, and documentation, provide specialist input, resolve technical problems, and ensure quality of products and services on projects.
- Ensure own work quality is maintained at the expected technical standard, according to Arup’s Quality Management Systems.
- Communicate effectively with external stakeholders and effectively manage the time, quality and performance of small projects with minimal supervision
- Meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets in your own area as well as prepare project reports for clients to summarize the key issues and strategically advising on the best outcome.

Is this role right for you?
- Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, specializing in Fire Engineering or relevant area with minimum 3 years of experience.
- Recognized qualification for application of FSE registration is an advantage.
- Hands on experience in fire engineering in Singapore; working knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) smoke modelling and evacuation modelling.
- Be fully aware of all legislative requirements and other regulations governing Occupational Health and Safety.
- Attention to detail with problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to stay informed about changing fire safety codes, standards and regulations.
