The candidate will work directly under the construction and project manager, managing clients, workers and all other stakeholders throughout the construction phase of various RC structural works.

Reporting to the Construction and Project Managers, the candidate will be responsible for constructing, managing and coordinating site-related works with the client, RE/RTO, and the workers to perform the RC work in the strictest compliance with the drawing, specification and contract documents. • To check that materials are ordered in good time and permits obtained.
• To check that all construction works are carried out in a safe manner, and that the site is kept secure.
• To watch for faulty workmanship and materials incorporated in the works and to issue instructions for rectification.
• To check and line and level of layout of structure during erection and that intentions of "contract" drawings are adhered to.
• To check structural slab, beam and column sizes and reinforcements placed and that intent of designs are followed.

Requirements:-

• Recognised Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with valid RE Accreditation Certificate from IES.
• Must have at least 5 yrs of post graduate experience respectively in supervising building projects. Applicants with both design and supervision experience as R.E. will be favourably considered.
• Fully conversant with Building Contract Act and Regulations. Able to administer contracts professionally, maintain site records and contract documents systematically, to meet reporting requirements under Building Control Act.
• Extensive experience in the supervision of bored pile systems, precast concrete, and structural steel construction.
• Experience with canal/ drainage construction will be favourably considered.
• Completed one HDB project as resident engineer.

· Prepare detailed design reports, calculations and drawings.

· Prepare submissions to statutory agencies/ authorities.

· Participate in the coordination with other disciplines in preparation of design deliveries.

· Participate in preparing tender documentations.

· Participate in the successful delivery of projects.

· Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized University and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).

· Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures.

· Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills.

· Have good knowledge of common engineering design software.

· Working experience in engineering design consulting practice on building, geotechnical, infrastructure, rail or road projects (underground/basement/elevated structures, tunnel structures and MRT station structures).

· Strong analytical skills.

· Able to work under pressure with good time management skill.
