Job Purpose

The Project Engineer ensures that all mechanical and electrical projects are completed successfully, meeting client requirements, safety standards and within the allocated budget and timeline. The project engineer is instrumental in coordinating all aspects of the project from planning to execution, to deliver a reliable and functional mechanical, electrical or a combination of both systems.

Responsibilities

1. Project Planning – The project engineer is involved in the planning phase of the projects, collaborating with other stakeholders to determine project scope, objectives, timelines and budget constraints. He/she work to understand the specific requirements of the project and create a comprehensive project plan.
2. Design and Engineering – The project engineer is responsible for collaborating with the design team or design vendor(s) to ensure that the designs are well-engineered and meet the necessary technical specifications. He/she needs to understand electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams and other technical documentation.
3. Procurement – The project engineer may e required to be involved in the procurement of necessary equipment, materials and components that are required for the project. He/she will have to ensure that the materials meet quality standards and are delivered on time to the work site.
4. Safety and Compliance – Safety is of utmost importance for Donjon Pte Ltd. The project engineer ensures that all work is carried out following safety regulations and industry best practices. They also ensure that the work complies with relevant codes and standards.
5. Resource Management – The project engineer is responsible for coordinating resources, including general labour, equipment and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution. He/she will be required to handle scheduling and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
6. Quality Control – Throughout the project, the project engineer monitors the quality of work being done, conducts inspections and ensures that the work meet the required quality standards.
7. Problem Solving – In the course of the project(s), unexpected challenges and issues may arise. The project engineer plays a crucial role in identifying and resolving these problems to keep the project on track.
8. Communication – The project engineer serves as a point of contact between various stakeholders, including clients, project managers/director, contractors and the engineering team. They provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns and facilitate effective communication.
9. Documentation – Keeping detailed records and documentation of the project’s progress is essential. The project engineer maintains accurate documentation including reports, drawings, change orders and other relevant paperwork. He/she will also have to ensure that project charges are correctly represented for accounting’s closing process.

• Diploma/ Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in M&E projects or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications

• Good foundation in at least one object oriented programming language (preferably Java)
• Understanding of databases (e.g., SQL) and Linux/Unix
• Knowledge of scripting language such as: Perl, Python or Bash

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of REST APIs. Good knowledge of response codes, headers/request/response structures, and payloads. If you have tested/automated REST APIs calls with Java, that will be great!
• Ability to understand testing techniques (e.g. performance, unit, integration, automated) and ability to use them to best effect - including tracking and addressing of any discovered issues.
• Able to investigate, debug and triage problems both independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of bug tracking and test/requirement management systems

Job :

Handle daily production escalation. Provide strong technical support to production team .

Ability to read technical drawings, understand BOMs, and use a variety of precision testing and measuring Instruments

Provide solution to CSE (customer support engineer) when there is field escalation.

Dispose non-conformance products and work closely with supplier on the quality and process continuous improvement.

Response to failure analysis and provide comprehensive analysis report to field support team or customers.

Work with material team on the product cost reduction, EOL component replacement, relocation of manufacturing site, and any engineering support needed from them.

Understand Manufacturing process and propose improve quality and cycle time

Creating ECO (Engineering Change Orders), Structuring BOMs and creating test and assembly documentation .

Involve in product development and evaluate the design for manufacturability and reliability.

Provide feedback on design changes .

Work with suppliers to resolve component/yield/part problems in a timely manner .

Perform First Article qualifications for parts and EOL components.

Requirements

Master’s degree/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 2 or more years of experience in Semicon Equipment manufacturing.

Degree in Electrical Engineering without prior working experience are welcome

Hands-on experience in assembly, alignment, calibration, sub-system integration, and testing of wafer inspection system.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to support technical issues, set-up experiments, and perform data analysis.

Good understanding of optical, mechanical, electrical, and software components involved in the design and development of motion system, semiconductor inspection equipment or equivalent is a plus

Able to travel up to 20% of the time
