Overview of The Department

Commercial Rating and Underwriting (CRU) sits within the Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) division and forms the institutional credit risk management function within American Express. The CRU team plays the critical role of assessing and managing the risk of institutional exposures across all business units with American Express, and in all regions globally. Credit exposures are primarily generated through corporate and small business card programs, via merchant service relationships where non-delivery risk exists, and among the securities portfolio held for firm-wide liquidity. In addition to determining the internal credit rating which drives the probability of default of each exposure, CRU also calculates the loss given default of these obligors while underwriting card programs. Requirements:

• At least Diploma in Business Management or any related fields

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze the specific needs of OMS (Order Management Systems) and Custodian systems for US brokerages.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements and produce Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD).
• Perform in-depth analysis of trading, clearing, and settlement workflows within brokerages.
• Identify opportunities to optimize OMS and Custodian systems for efficiency, ensuring alignment with SEC and FINRA regulations.
• Assist in UAT by developing test cases and validating that system functionalities meet defined business requirements.
• Contribute to ongoing enhancements of OMS and Custodian systems by recommending updates based on business evolution and technological advancements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with in-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience with US Order Management Systems (OMS) and Custodian systems.
• Strong understanding of US securities market regulations, including SEC, FINRA, and DTC.
• Proven ability to gather and analyse business requirements, document workflows, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Proficient in business analysis and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

ERP Business Analyst (2-Year Contract)

The ERP Business Analyst will be responsible for evaluating business processes, identifying opportunities for optimization, and implementing ERP solutions that improve overall efficiency and productivity. This role requires a strong knowledge of ERP systems, excellent analytical capabilities, and effective collaboration with various stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. ERP Implementation and Support:Lead ERP system implementations, ensuring they align with business objectives and requirements.
   Provide continuous support and maintenance for ERP applications, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
   Manage user roles and permissions within the ERP system.
   
2. Business Process Analysis:Assess current business processes and workflows to identify areas for enhancement.
   Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and create detailed specifications for ERP solutions.
   
3. Project Management:Oversee ERP-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget limits.
   Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of ERP systems.
   Prioritize service and change requests, and collaborate with the IT Project Manager to ensure vendors meet their SLAs.
   Conduct user acceptance testing for application patches and enhancements.
   
4. Training and Documentation:Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users to ensure proper ERP system usage.
   Create and maintain thorough documentation for ERP processes, configurations, and user guides.
   
5. Data Analysis and Reporting:Utilize ERP systems to generate accurate reports, providing insights to support business decision-making.
   Create and manage financial reports based on the organization’s financial requirements.
   Ensure data integrity and consistency across all ERP modules.
   
6. Other Responsibilities:Perform any additional duties and manage projects as assigned.
   

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as an ERP Business Analyst or similar role. Experience in ERP system upgrades and migrations, particularly within finance modules, is preferred.
• Strong expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Familiarity with business process modeling and improvement techniques is a plus.
• Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or ERP systems (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate) are advantageous. Experience with SQL and data management tools is also desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

What we are looking for

• Business Analysis certification (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®), Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®)) or an equivalent certification will be an added advantage. • Hands-on experience in full project development life cycles • Past track record in business analysis, application solutioning and design • Ability to model business requirements in business process modelling tool. • Ability to perform qualitative, quantitative and root-cause analysis. • Ability to facilitate discussions/workshops to elicit, manage and prioritise key business needs. • Ability to take a broad, strategic perspective as well as drill deep to understand business needs and challenges.
