Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely completion of account closures using accounting software.
• Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee external audit requirements to ensure timely completion of annual financial audits.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports on a quarterly and annual basis to the MAS, IRAS, and CPFB.
• Process payroll monthly with accuracy and punctuality.
• Document and update accounting and treasury procedures regularly to ensure they remain current and effective.
• Ensure timely vendor payments and proactively manage outstanding customer payments.
• Manage corporate finance activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis to support key business decisions.
• Monitor and optimize the company’s capital structure and maintain liquidity to support business operations.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Admin, People, Fund Operations) as needed to support organizational goals.

Essentials to Have

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
• At least 5 years of experience in handling full set accounting.
• Experience In MAS forms submission.
• Working experience in financial services industry

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is for Centre for Global Education & Opportunities (GEO).
• Stakeholder Management
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partner universities, recruitment agencies, and potential partners through consistent communication.
  • Lead the annual placement projections and negotiation exercise with partner universities.
  • Promote SMU's programmes to prospective students and overseas universities, both virtually and in person.
• Programme and Event Management
  • Plan and execute events such as SMU's Study Abroad Fair, Orientation, Farewell Party and other student outreach and programme publicity initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to outbound SMU students and inbound international students throughout the programme. This includes managing the team's role-based mailbox and responding to programme-related inquiries.
  • Conduct surveys to gather feedback, analyse results, and prepare reports on students' study abroad experiences, as well as their learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the daily operations of the exchange programmes, including onboarding, outreach, logistics, and billing.
  • Work closely with other departments within SMU to ensure full compliance with academic policies and study abroad safety protocols.

• Strong knowledge of global education and experience in managing international student programmes and events.

  • Implement curriculum for innovation & entrepreneurship education programmes.
