Our client is a UK Trading Firm that has been bounding up the ladder of Financial world. They have been acquiring multiple companies within commodities sector and have reported steady growth for 8 years consecutively- with their net revenue reported as USD $543 million in 2022.

With 36 countries globally and more than 1000+ employees, they have decided to expand their Singapore Application Support Team.

Quick Overview

As an Individual contributor, you will be taking charge of issues (L2-L3) for Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. You will be part of the 'Risk' team, liaising with traders, and working on risk files via down-stream applications, enrichment, and backlog from all the inputs.

This role will allow you to demonstrate your resiliency, your knowledge, and independency as you will be solely responsible for taking ownership of the issues. This is a role with high visibility and recognition.

Your necessary skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience
• Linux AND windows OS experience
• SQL
• PowerShell scripting OR Python. You should be willing to pick up PowerShell, and will be given time to learn
• Have prior experience working as individual contributor
• Take accountability for your work - be open and honest about what you know and don't know
• Open to all industries, but financial services is preferred

Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:

• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering excellent support services.
• Act as a point of contact for escalated customer inquiries, maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with end-users, understanding their technical needs and preferences.
• Gather feedback from users to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance the overall user experience.
• Conduct user training sessions to promote self-service options and empower users to resolve common issues independently.

2. Technical Support:

• Identification and resolution of hardware and software issues for end-users, both onsite and remote.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical problems, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
• Collaborate with other IT teams within the organization (Infra, Network and App) to address and resolve technical issues.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of standardized laptop images for various user profiles.
• Deployment of laptops to new and existing users ensuring consistency, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Design and implement efficient processes for onboarding new employees, including laptop setup, account provisioning, and orientation on IT policies.
• Streamline and execute offboarding procedures, ensuring secure data removal, account deactivation, and retrieval of IT assets.
• Ability to analyze issues related to Microsoft 365 applications.
• Having knowledge to troubleshoot Wi-Fi or Network related issues.
• Possess expertise in diagnosing and resolving printer-related issues, including hardware malfunctions, connectivity problems, and print queue management.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to optimize printer performance and minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with vendors for escalated printer issues, warranty claims, and hardware replacements.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of support activities, including incident reports, service requests, and resolutions.
• Generate and analyse performance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in a technical support role, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
• Excellent knowledge of desktop operating systems, hardware, and software applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, ITIL V4) are desirable.
• Solid understanding of ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management

Location: Loyang

Working Hours: Mon-Fri (830am - 530pm)

Salary: Up to $3,800 + AWS + VB

Job Responsibilities:

• Create sales quotation upon request from customers or sales team.
• Order entry and follow-up with customers on the delivery dates, including system projects order entry, PO placement with source and logistics matters.
• Releasing of shipment for pick/pack. Co-ordinating with freight forwarders for pickup.
• Support Field Service on service order and billing.
• Manage quality complaints between customers and source plant.
• Update equipment parts lead time.
• Follow-up on incoming shipment (equipment parts) including system projects.
• Ensure optimum stock level for made to stock items.
• Lodge QM Quality Notification in SAP for quality defects of goods and take appropriate corrective actions to close the loop.
• Ensure that orders are entered based on MTS/MTO criteria.

Job Requirements:

• GCE ‘A’ Level or Diploma in Business Management or equivalent.
• SAP knowledge is a must.
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of international payment terms and incoterms
• Comfortable to work in Loyang.

Working within the Embedded SRE organisation, the Application Support Analyst will be handling the day-to-day operations including handle, triage and escalate on alarms and issues that may arise.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 troubleshooting support and response, and be on standby up to 12h a day during the week of standby.
• Log, escalate and follow through with issues, ensuring that issues are resolved.
• Review and improve our alarms and alarm response.
• Periodic reviews and submission of the capacity needs of the business.
• Support and/or drive disaster recovery response drills.
• Deploy new versions of the software.
• Generate reports on the operational workloads, review capacity needs of the business, support and/or drive disaster recovery response drills.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of Technical/Application Support experience on various technology platforms.

We are seeking a dedicated Support Engineer professional to join our team to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to collaborate with various departments to support and maintain our software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues (Linux VMs, Vendor Product, SFTP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions to prevent future issues.
• Create and maintain documentation related to production issues and resolutions via JIRA.
• Implement and maintain processes and procedures to improve production support.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on system performance and issue status.
• Ensure proper deployment and release of software updates & infrastructure patches/upgrades.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production issues after business hours. There are two shifts, Morning (7 AM to 4 PM) and Afternoon (2 PM to 11 PM), running 7 days a week.
• Deployments during silent hours.
• Development work within the vendor product (about 10%-20% of time).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Production Support or related role.
• Strong technical skills in Java, SQL, UNIX, and scripting languages.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.
