Our client is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst (Life Insurance), a financial services institution with 40+ million customers. This role will assist the IFRS 17 reporting team in generating, reviewing, and finalizing periodic financial reports.

Responsibilities:

• Strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with IFRS 17 requirements and enhance financial accuracy.
• Participate in UAT processes to validate product launches and model modifications.
• Perform detailed analyses to improve the quality and reliability of IFRS 17 results.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• With 5 years of relevant experience in finance or actuarial studies with practical knowledge of IFRS 17 and several years of experience in the life insurance sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with a demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new financial and technical concepts.
• Proven track record in delivering accurate analyses and insightful commentaries.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across international and remote teams.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SQL, Python Script, DCS and Prophet Coding, with expertise in crafting clear reports and presentations.

Job responsibilities:

The contract role within the market risk management department (Market risk Analytics team) will be in charge of assisting and performing reporting of PnL and risk data generation and analysis, monitoring market risk activities undertaken by Global Markets (Trading) and Treasury (ALM) and participating UAT in various projects, e.g. Potential Future Exposure project, Benchmark/Libor Transition project. The scope of products spans interest rate derivatives (including Interest Rate Options) and FX derivatives (including FX Options).

[Market Risk Analytics – 50%]

• Prepare daily, monthly and other periodic risk reports and provide PnL & risk analysis for the bank’s trading and treasury portfolio;
• Provide analysis of risk exposures, VaR;
• Provide market risk stress testing and analysis;
• Provide daily VaR back-testing;
• Provide market risk KRI monitoring;
• Support to prepare Singapore ALM/MRM Committee material and provide market risk commentary;
• Provide Volcker rule metrics reporting and analysis;
• Monitor, investigate and report risk limit excesses;
• Monitor Benchmark submissions (e.g. SORA) and report to Benchmark Oversight Committee;
• Support Manager to liaise with regulators by providing necessary information/ analysis;
• Support Manager to liaise with internal / external auditors to ensure good practices are adopted in the bank;
• Participate in various projects e.g. Potential Future Exposure project, Libor transition project.

[Product Control – 50%]

• Prepare daily, monthly and other periodic risk reports;
• Monitor individual dealer’s position and PL;
• Monitor market risk greeks such as delta, PV01, gamma, vega and theta etc;
• Monitor, investigate and report market risk limits and credit limits;
• Reconcile the data among different systems;
• Capturing market data and ensuring integrity and accuracy of the data before uploading into front systems for Asia and Oceania region;
• Perform ad-hoc project UAT in order to improve the processes and operations; and
• Support regional branch in all product control related matters.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in financial engineering, mathematics, statistics, quantitative finance, Data management, economics or in quantitative related fields
• No prior experience required.
• Candidates with relevant internship experience may also be considered.
• Good knowledge of banking and derivatives products
• Experience in using Python, Power Query, Excel with VBA skills
• Good initiative and inter-personal skills, ability to work efficiently in a team and independently.
• Good communication skills (both verbal & writing) with colleagues in Singapore and regional branch.

Technical Consultant who becomes a Subject Matter Expert on the tec tool and how to use it in conjunction with our Assure Claims insurance application, trains customers on the Sisense Data Analytics tool, and consults with Assure Claims customers on creating their specific dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities:

· Consults with customers to produce the dashboards and reports they need

· Coordinates with the Assure Claims Base Development team on base Sisense elasticubes and customer requirements

· Coordinates with Sisense vendor on defects and enhancements

· Stays current on Sisense system, its functions, and how to work with Assure Claims

· Design, develop, and optimize Sisense data models and dashboards to provide actionable insights

· Write custom JavaScript and CSS for enhanced dashboard functionality

· Manage Sisense system upgrades and troubleshoot related issues

· Develop and maintain Jaspersoft reports and administer Jaspersoft Server

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, IT or related field preferred

· Minimum 5+ years of experience in Sisense and Jaspersoft, including data modelling and report creation

· Hands-on experience with Sisense upgrades and Kubernetes-based environments

· Database design knowledge required; SQL is must.

· Sisense reporting tool working experience is preferred

· SAP Business Objects reports consulting experience preferred

· Power BI data analytics tool consulting experience preferred

· Experience working with communications practices, principles, and procedures for both on-site and on-line presentations
